The fake adviser claimed Germany was prepared to join a military attack on Iran. Pahlavi welcomed the idea:

“Not only Israelis and Americans should participate. More countries should join this crusade. I’m glad Germany is taking such a tough stance.”

He also made clear how he sees his own role if the Iranian government falls:

“As soon as the regime collapses, we are ready to step in and fill the vacuum.”
