The stolen EVM assets were swapped into $ETH and remain untouched. The $MET also remains in the attacker’s wallet.

⚠️Just In: 165M dollar crypto ponzi scheme

Federal prosecutors have returned 59-year-old Edward Zimbardi to the U.S. after his deportation from Fiji to face wire fraud and money laundering charges.

Zimbardi is accused of running the "Crypto Program," an alleged $165 million Ponzi scheme that promised over 6,000 investors guaranteed monthly returns of 25%. Investigators allege the funds were used to pay earlier investors, trade foreign currencies, and fund $10 million in personal expenses.

Zimbardi faces multiple federal counts and is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
