Several scientists cited in this Hill article say that until whistleblowers show hard evidence of alien reverse engineering programs their testimonies should be treated as anecdotal & aren't worth serious scientific attention. Problem with such a position is that it's illegal to posses evidence of an Unacknowledged Special Access Program (USAP). Consequently, demanding eyewitnesses present evidence to prove alien USAPs exist is very naive and even stupid.

I thought the UAP hearing in Congress was very impressive. It put the whole issue of UAPs belonging to non-human intelligence on the Congressional radar, especially classified programs to study retrieved craft and non-human life forms. David Grusch was particularly impressive and Congress is going to hold closed door hearings to get details of where the non-human intelligence craft have been stored, studied and reverse engineered. I was very impressed with the bipartisan nature of the hearing where Democrats and Republicans were all supportive of the witnesses and each other in getting to the truth. Overall conclusion is that Congress has been green lighted to go ahead and reveal the truth despite some pushback by senior bureaucrats/DOD officials.
