3 yil kutilgan rasm.

Bugundan boshlab lug'atingizga ismimni perseverance so'zi bilan sinonim qilib qo'shib qo'ying.

Resilience, tenacious, persistent, yoki o'zbekchadagi qat'iyat so'zlari bilan ham.

Ko'pchilik kutib, so'rab, havotir olgani uchun dadam o'sha yaxshi ko'rgan gap bilan shu yerda e'lon qilaman.

We dreamed about it, and we made it.

Senga atalgani senga yetgusi...

Just met Paul Graham.

Co-creator of Y Combinator, computer scientist, essayist - among many other things.

It's crazy how things work out. One moment you're religiously reading his essays, the next you randomly get to talk to him.

He's quite different from what I expected. Super down to earth and jolly. Nothing like many of the investors and founders you meet in SF.

A couple of things he said that I think are relevant:

- Don't let AI do all your work. Especially writing, because writing is what helps you think. Write well to think well. (One of the reasons I started this blog, I was terrified of forgetting how to write proper Uzbek.)

- CS students, you didn't make a mistake. Even if AI writes all the code, you'll still end up as the engineering manager. And to be a good manager, you have to know how to do what your people do.

- To get into building companies, relax the constraint that your first project needs to make money. Just do it because it's cool and fun.

- Don't drop out. College is valuable because you can do things for no reason. When you drop out to build a startup, there's only one thing you have to think about, all the time.

and many more thoughts he writes about at length in his essays. Definitely worth reading through all of them: https://paulgraham.com/articles.html

4 more hours of sleep and had the craziest birthday party of my life(prolly the best one in the dormitory history too)

Transactional Connection/freondscipe.

Looking back to the time where I was passionately learning the language that in certain times felt closer than my native one, I was overusing a single metaphor – double-edged sword. To the habits I had, to the city I grew up, to the situations I was in.

Yet, never have I used towards/felt to the people I was with. I know it may not be a proper use of the metaphor, but ache is very the same. Perhaps, for mankind, by its very nature, using each other was never the sad part; maybe the sad part was we pretend don’t. Perhaps the saddest part is that we stopped being useful to each other as humans, but only became useful as opportunities.

As much as I hate Machiavelli’s moral cynicism, I now understand his reasoning on human nature. Read ths disturbing yet true piece from Machiavelli

"Friendships that are obtained by payments, and not by greatness or nobility of mind, may indeed be earned, but they are not secured, and in time of need cannot be relied upon." (Machiavelli, 1532)
