New Law in Ethiopia Threatens Two Years in Jail for Failing to Wear a Mask
Ethiopia can jail people for up to two years if they deliberately violate restrictions aimed at curbing the spread of COVID-19, the attorney general’s office said, amid concern that citizens are becoming lax after a state of emergency was lifted.
The restrictions prohibit shaking hands, not wearing a mask in a public place, seating more than three people at a table or not keeping “two adult steps”—around six feet—apart .
“Now it is as if COVID is no longer there, the public is not taking care,” Health Minister Lia Tadesse tweeted on Thursday. “This will cause a possible increase in the spread of the disease and might be a threat to the nation.” @COVID19Up SOURCE

There have been attempts to "debunk" as "conspiracy" Bill Gates' attempt to develop technology with MIT to use quantum dot "tracking" devices for vaccine compliance and related surveillance systems. This MIT article from a year ago shows that, in fact, it is true: https://news.mit.edu/2019/storing-vaccine-history-skin-1218

Storing medical information below the skin’s surface
MIT researchers have developed a novel way to record a patient’s vaccination history: storing the data in a pattern of quantum-dot dye, invisible to the naked eye, that is delivered under the skin at the same time as the vaccine.

Yohan in the news again.
"Yohan Tengra, a 23-year-old research consultant and anti-masker based in Mumbai, challenges potential measures including mandatory Covid-19 testing and vaccination in the future. “Our movement isn’t just about masks,” Tengra said. “We had an amalgamation of issues … which mainly have to do with health and medical freedom.”
His objections are rooted in a demand for better ‘policy-grade evidence’ – not easy given the race against time. “The burden of proof is on you, as you are making a positive claim that they actually died from Covid, so you have to show me evidence,” he contended. “We have also seen studies where risks went up because of wearing masks. The debate comes down to: is the risk worth the benefit?”
The protester runs a website to connect with like-minded people. However, it remains on the fringe, and an Indian fact-checking site identified it as peddling conspiracy theories and Covid-19 misinformation."

Southwest Airlines to Start Filling Middle Seats, Leaving Delta as Last Holdout
🇺🇸✈️ The dreaded middle seat is mostly back.
Southwest Airlines said Thursday it will resume booking middle seats on its flights starting Dec. 1.
“I was a bit surprised by this news,” said Scott Keyes, co-founder of travel site Scott’s Cheap Flights. Southwest built its name as one of the most customer-friendly U.S. airlines, and the public would still love to see the seats blocked, he said.
That leaves Delta Air Lines as the sole U.S. legacy carrier still blocking past November the perennially unpopular seats, made even less desirable with the pandemic and fears of COVID-19 contagion.
Delta reiterated earlier this month it will keep blocking its middle seats through at least Jan. 6, with exceptions for those traveling together, with an eye for setting itself apart ahead of holiday travel. @COVID19Up SOURCE

Supermarkets in Wales to Sell Only Essentials During Lockdown
🏴 Supermarkets in Wales will not be allowed to sell items such as clothing and hardware during the COVID-19 firebreak lockdown, first minister Mark Drakeford has said.
Drakeford said it will be “made clear” to supermarkets they are only able to sell products that are classed as “essential goods."
He said this would ensure a “level playing field” as many retailers will be forced to shut when the 17-day lockdown begins on Friday.
Shops selling food, off-licences and pharmacies can stay open but the likes of clothes stores will have to close. @G3News SOURCE

Fauci Thinks the U.S. Government Should Mandate Mask Use as Pandemic Persists
🇺🇸 Dr. Anthony Fauci said the country should probably mandate mask use, even if people complain about the trouble with enforcing it.
“If everyone agrees that this is something that’s important, and they mandate it and everybody pulls together and say, you know, ‘we’re going to mandate it but let’s just do it’. I think that would be a great idea to have everybody do it uniformly,” he said Friday on CNN. “I get the argument, say, ‘well, if you mandate a mask, then you’re going to have to enforce it and that’ll create more of a problem.’ Well, if people are not wearing masks, then maybe we should be mandating it.”
