Alright, raccoons, looks like crime pays again! While illegally dumping my garbage in my usual spots, it appears they are remodeling a store near there. So I found a jack pot of wire and steel. I'm coming back for the steel but got a decent amount of copper wire while there. That's the beautiful thing about diving and scrapping, never know what kind of treasure you'll find.

Diving and scrapping protip:
During the summer months, you're more likely to find full builds and construction going on, so more dumpsters for that. During the winter months, you'll find more remodel and demolition jobs with outside dumpsters to dive. Also, winter is great for diving for food scraps for live stock. Or if your hardcore homeless, great for finding food still good behind grocery stores.
