They leave out the fact that there is NO benefit to saying you are legally married anymore. A lot of smart people are claiming "single mother status" while being religiously married to their husband's to get maximum free gibs, tax returns, and healthcare from the government while still having dad around. Immigrants and blacks pretty much pioneered this fruad. It's also the easiest and most ground level for the common family to do. Dad, either is homeless or "lives somewhere else while working" and can still pay the mortgage "out of respect for the kids and ex-wife," and the government doesn't bat an eye. These are the types of gibs that even "ultra republican Maga" types of politicians dare not remove. Literally, the bread to romes circus.

You can also be legally married and just have your old lady claim that you guys are “seperated” and still get gibs

Other reasons to be legally married include medical insurance, default POA when next-of-kin are unavailable or untrustworthy, and spousal benefits from some jobs. Active duty mil may not be a good deal now, but the National Guard can be. Your spouse and kids qualify for Tricare and can use your Tuition Assistance for vocational training. Baby mamas, not so much.

It's really a more nuanced issue than a lot of gurus act like.

Increasingly impossible to rely on anyone doing their jobs. From management to vendors to various coworkers, nothing moves without constant oversight and prodding. Traditionally reliable sectors and positions goldbricking, stalling, fucking up.
Not just noids either. A general phenomenon.

Maybe I'm just getting old or maybe it's just Canada.

It stands to reason that as more and more work gets shifted to good workers they either can't keep up or burn out or give up or become mired by their adjacent contacts. So even good workers are bad and it spreads like fire.
