By the way, rumors abound right about LA having a fire sale on scrap metal right now. Can anyone confirm these absolutely blistering deals?

What a scam! This guy got the government to pay to install a large wind turbine on his property. They agreed to pay him for all the power it generated - even if that power couldn't be exported. Since he only has a 6kw feeder to the grid, he found a way to use all the power.... he heats all buildings including horse stalls. He has 10's of dump loads and turn on and off based on battery SoC. He cut his ties to the grid but still gets paid for the energy that wind turbine makes. The solar runs his house and he's got 100kwh of batteries.

Why is this off-grid family using as much power as possible?
This family living at this Lancashire farm have installed a wind turbine. Find out why they need to try to keep the turbine generating and how they have disconnected from the grid and now use solar. Jonathan the owner is passionate about Victron Energyโฆ

Burn, baby, burn!

Real talk, if you don't have access to a good water source, aka having plumbing or at least a bladder bag. Just dig up soil and start shoveling soil onto the flames. It's very effective in lieu of other means, often we don't have water and we do this to knock back active flame. Obviously, this doesn't really work for big burns.

Changed PCV valve on the Kia. These cars have a problem with burning oil after awhile and itโs because the one way valve goes bad (usually). The hoses were kinda aggravating to get to and get off, need some long curved pliers.
