What do you use to strip them so well?
God's strongest Dvmpster Divers 2: electric boogaloo
Glad you asked. Chink made stripping machine off amaZOG. Appalachian Rebel and I both bought one a year ago for around $50. You can hand crank it or put it in a drill chuck. Works well
Me and Rise use the same vevor brand wire strippers cause we are studs, we're ballsy. We don't have to strip wire with a knife like you! UHAGAHAGH

Banana brandy stripping runs today. I got 15 gallons of wash to run. Its tasting really good off the tap. This is about as fast as i can run a stripping run on the cheapo vevor 5 gal still cause the condenser doesnt have much knockdown power. any faster and you get liquor steam escaping even if you keep your condensing water cool.

My 3rd liquor run out of the cheapo vevor and so far my reflections on distilling are these:
1) Good in good out. I used to think you could use a still to take a bad hooch and turn it into decent swill. Maybe on a reflux still not sure. but not so for a pot still. Make a good wash and youll get good booze. My first two spirit runs i ran were 2 experimental batches i made with scraps that werent great. The wash was old and sitting on the yeast and sediment for like months. It smelled and tasted funky. I ran it and the booze concentrated the funky grossness.
2) Even if your still isnt dirty or corroded you should probably run vinegar then water after every batch. I got funkyness from batch 1 in the second batch i ran. I took everything apart and cleaned it all with soap and water, and it sat for a week. I did a vinegar run last night and guess what? A lot of funkyness from batch 1 came out with that vinegar. The following water run tasted clean.
Thats all i got so far.
