I have been making a point of reading through the book of Psalms, one each night with reflection. They are all quite refreshing, a sort of testament to the warrior-priest mentality, and most importantly overflowing with a child-like exuberance that is hard to find in the modern world.

I have been thinking more in this direction, recently. We feel pessimism because we have dedicated ourselves to things that are dead. Pessimism should not afflict the followers of a living God. Never follow a leader who cannot read from this book sincerely.

I mean where do you even begin with the master-piece that is Abbie Richard’s “Conspiracy Theory” chart. The way it mindlessly apes the aesthetics of more rigorous disciplines while not even bothering to label the axis? The way it needlessly complicates its 1-dimensional design with a useless “fan formation”? Perhaps it’s the way the chart stands in for an obviously more sensible 2-dimensional design ranking the implausibility of a theory versus its potential harm? Or is it the way the chart replaces a serious intellectual question with a simple ranking system based solely on who the author thinks the “bad guys” are?

For me, it’s that this mindless TikToker has been skating on this idiocy for over a year, and not a single person who studies this stuff academically has pushed back at all.
