Out of the last ten months I've had a Twitter account for two weeks. Somebody asked me what I thought of the ''Radfems'' and my answer was that I had no opinion because I wasn't on Twitter but knew via AA's recent shit storm of a stream it's people forming a branch of drama on Twitter that will be forgotten about in a few weeks.

Twitter creates factions by incentivizing its users to amplify minor disputes for social approval, this naturally leads to full breaks in digital ''communities'' which only occur on social media.

Somebody somewhere will be running the numbers on this, your hot new clique will appear as nodes coalescing and breaking apart, reforming and then fracturing again, you think it's discourse, the computer knows its just algorithmically led behaviour.

The number crunchers will also be aware of how often this occurs, how long these globules of social media movements last and where the next ones are forming.

Not being on Twitter means that there are hundreds of arguments, posts, owns and counter owns that I've never been involved with or spent time on, but even if they had of happened nothing whatsoever would have changed, either for the better or worse.
