Yes, but then so is the Iliad.
The college professor who taught my generation that they could say just say "consequentialism" and "Tu Quoque” as a get-out-of-jail-free card for any moral hypocrisy should be tracked down and punished.

The final victory of Technocracy over Tradition.
Oh I get it, it's leftist STREAMERS who are the REAL victims of cancel culture.

Vaush's position on the left is so tenuous he must wake up each day and wonder who's out cancel him and if today will be the today the final blow lands.
If it isn't the trannies and gays taking pot-shots because he's straight, then he's also got the BLM types to deal with because he's a white male with privilege.
And now the actual Marxists are turning on him because he's a well off grifter offering nothing but entertainment.

He's like a chubby lefty soy version of Henry Fonda in Once Upon A Time In The West
The lotus eaters working over-time to develop an argument about why “Incest is bad”...
I have been watching bread tube videos for two years now and this one video continues to haunt me.

No matter how much I give the creator the benefit of the doubt, no matter how much I force myself to assume he is understating his subjects defects, there is no way I can watch this and not perceive it as something deeply wrong, something deeply perverse. Pray for these people, all of them.

Ok, this week I need to finish this job, say yes to a new job, get ready to move. I don't know how I am going to fit in finishing the video I started or doing the online reorganization. I originally blocked out May for this, I am going to do my best.

Guilty on all 3 counts
The trial was honest on one count. It accurately showed where we stand.

I would advise against doom scrolling on Twitter, you know what you'll see, there's nothing you can do about it so just don't bother.
I am working on a DistAns as a reply to a Millennial Woes AMA. Working title “why we can’t have nice things... yet”.
This is the summer I am losing my PhD weight. Perhaps I should track my progress online to keep myself motivated. Starting weight “T minus ...” whatever I have managed at that point.
my wife and I have some downtime tonight, so why not waste it streaming a video game! https://youtu.be/T1-a9IJ87zE
For the first time in my career as a "Video-Essayist, I am genuinely feeling some admiration for that modern phenomenon "The Game Streamer". I am really at a loss at how you play a competitive video game to win, and also answer questions from the chat. Maybe if this wasn't after a long day of work and taking care of a child. Still...
I think you might be misunderstanding the issue. Open discussion is not the same thing as public spectacle designed to convince an audience that it is participating in Democracy. The point of a discussion is to show that public leaders or public intellectuals (I hate that term) in question are either considerate enough to take objections on board or confident enough to risk their ideas in open confrontation. In other words, people would prefer Aristocrats who hold public court to calmly hear the concerns of their subjects over late-stage paranoid and grasping Democracies lapsing into performative struggle sessions and public denouncements. People warmed to the right when it was obvious the left was uninterested in any non-performative discussion with a predetermined conclusion. This is not because there is some Democratic "public will" or "marketplace of ideas" that ultimately decides the victor in a conversation, it is because the openness to discussion demonstrates the health of the political discourse.
