That Was one of the more frustrating conversations I have had in a while.

Former U.S. President George W. Bush confused Ukraine with Iraq during a speech in the city of Dallas, Texas.
The 75-year-old apparently wanted to condemn Vladimir Putin's decision to launch the special operation to protect the Donbass. Instead, his words seemed as if he had been referring to the U.S. invasion of Iraq.
"The result is one man's decision to launch a completely unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq. I mean in Ukraine," Bush said, jokingly referring to his age as the reason for the confusion.

In 1999 all Chris Cunningham wanted to do was make a creepy parody of Hip-hop music videos for the techno artist “Aphex Twin”, instead he accidentally prophesied all early 21st century culture. https://youtu.be/UBS4Gi1y_nc

Remember when adults go-to question for kids was "what do you want to be when you grow up?"
I've noticed a transformation of that into "How are you going to change the world?"
Stop adults from asking children this question.
The vast majority of people are naturally bent to living ordinary lives, i.e. not newsworthy lives. And how many people can, in fact, "change the world"? This insidious messaging that everyone is destined to "change the world" means that, when someone doesn't change the world, they've not met their destiny and they've failed.
This messaging is one reason why so many Millennials and Gen Z —
1) fail to mature to adulthood and stagnate into eternal hedonism
2) become addicted to bizarre behaviors and "protesting"
They have been filled all their lives with the vision that they're going to step into the world and do Big Things and Change The World. Then they're just the typical person living a typical life. Many just give up — spend their days doing any self-destructive thing they can think of (YOLO!) and/or completely checking out of any attempt to have a life. Or, they might still try to meet their "destiny" as a world changer. The way to do this is to constantly bandwagon jump and do more and more extreme versions of social justice protestation. Both are soul emptying paths.
Our folk are taught that the unnatural and the nearly unattainable are commonplace goals, while they are also discouraged from the one thing that people are naturally bent to do that is, in fact, wholly profound and world changing. That is creating a family and bringing a life into the world. Two adults who love each other, raising their beloved child to be whole and good. But this path to fulfillment and the truly profound is discouraged.
We live in a time and a place when people are both set up to fail their expectations and to eschew the life that will actually fulfill them. To hell with that.
Spread the truth that "The most extraordinary thing in the world is an ordinary man and an ordinary woman and their ordinary children." — GK Chesterton

OMD's wonderful 1981 single Maid of Orleans had a stained-glass image as its artwork. A fan has had it fitted into his front door!
Been very busy this last week. Will try to continue content creation when things calm down IRL.
Millennials love calling out “plagiarism”. But did anyone ever explain to them what it means? In order to be “plagiarized” an idea has to have sufficient complexity. It can’t be obvious folk wisdom or observable reality. https://twitter.com/SanaSaeed/status/1528729092731838465?s=20&t=5rr3FtG0toifht6QegNXIQ

Can pagans replying to my article do me a favor? Please respond to my arguments. Don’t just copy-pasta the original statement of your claims and pretend you didn’t hear my responses. Better yet respond to the questions I brought to pagans IN that article.

I challenge the @Distributist to a boxing match over the question of civic nationalism.
If I win, he has to admit that race is an essential part of identity.
If he wins, I have to buy him grape drank, watermelon and a KFC, and join him rampaging through downtown Detroit and hunting for side bitches.
If he rejects this challenge, then I win by default - and he can kiss goodbye to his credibility!

Most of my conflict with the nationalist types owes to the fact that they only recognize three potential positions on race.
1. Vicious anti-white leftist vitriol
2. Boneheaded oblivious conservative “color-blindness”
3. Obsessive political focus on race as the “ne plus ultra” of political considerations above and before all other questions
Are these the only three options when it comes to thinking about race? They are in the political frame of 2022. But these weren’t the only options in 1922 or 1822 or 1722, which gives you a hint.
This is the enemies frame.
I refuse to participate in a conversation about race that doesn’t allow for subtlety outside the limited imagination of the present.

It looks like, due to increased rates, I am going to have to look for a free service to host a bunch of my old essays. Anyone have any suggestions about blogging or hosting platforms that are free? I would like all my stuff to be in one place.
Sargon is right about this, but the problem goes so deep it would require a radical restructuring of society to solve this. https://youtu.be/37FGPceqySo
