This is probably the plan. The real danger of the Truckers is not their demands. The government was probably planning to drop restrictions anyway. The real danger is that, in forcing a concession, the government would have to concede legitimate power exists outside the Cathedral’s purview. The danger is power instability this creates once acknowledged. Is the government able to swing right sometimes? Does it listen to non-approved sources? Such a possibility makes it hard to control the ideology of underlings by controlling the path upward through the managerial hierarchy.

This is not to voice any opinion about the war, but we need to take seriously a Russian loss and a victorious GAE using this war to patch up the loses it has taken over the last two years and accomplish regime change in Russia. Something to consider.
