Following our 30th conference Artivism: The Art of Subverting Power we invite you to join us on August 30 at 8pm for the screening of We’re All Going To Die, a documentary film by Ben Knight, hosted by ACUD MACHT NEU. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the film director, Extinction Rebellion environmental activist Mia Sommer, climate psychologist Katharina Simons, and will be moderated by Veronika Nad.

The main protagonist of the documentary “We are all going to die” Ben Knight, is a journalist afflicted by the encroaching crises he writes about. For his documentary, he travels from Berlin to London to Kansas to Norway, and then to the capital of all loss, the Chicxulub crater in Mexico, learning from those preparing for social and ecological collapse. Call them preppers, doomers, or bunker-dwellers, the collapse community turns out to be bigger than he thinks.

Great news!
Today we launch the Disruption Network Institute: a hub for investigation and empirical research into the impact of artificial intelligence on new technologies of networked warfare.

An essential novel aspect of the Institute’s approach is the direct involvement of whistleblowers and other affected experts. These have designated the Lab as their preferred hub of research, enabling them to delve deeper into studying the effects of complex matter on our societies and devising strategies to mitigate risks.

Our inaugural research programme is called Investigating The Kill Cloud: Information Warfare, Autonomous Weapons & AI
Our first fellows will research links between artificial intelligence, surveillance, drone deployment, and further developments of automated weapon systems, aiming to produce knowledge urgently needed to critically assess and regulate the further merging of artificial intelligence into warfare.
