HIGH Tech
June 8 @ Raxxxhaus
Mariannenplatz 1
22-06h
We are geek whores, cyborg bitches.
We join covens for our dissolute alchemies.
We spit out performances and assemble sound systems with our breasts bared.
We laugh about everything, about ourselves . . .
We parody what is socially understood to be feminine, what is supposed to be masculine.
We question the identity of assigned genders. We exaggerate it, ridicule it, fuck with it.
This text was inspired by the tRANS hACK fEMINISt manifesto:
https://pechblenda.hotglue.me/?transhackfeminism_en/
All proceeds from HIGH Tech will go to benefit /ETC - Eclectic Tech Carnival, an international feminist hackmeeting happening in this days in Berlin.

SYMPOSIUM: RE/EMBODIED DATA – Ambiguities of Knowing
Berlin Open Lab (UdK + TU Berlin), Einsteinufer 42, 10587 Berlin
We live in a moment of comprehensive datafication. Due to digital technologies, ever more aspects of our lives and the planet can be measured, analyzed and shaped. This creates new ways of knowing and doing. But all too often, this development leads to a systematic devaluation of forms of knowing that cannot be quantified and processed digitally. This leads to ignorance and marginalization, enacting a form of epistemic violence. In this symposium, we will investigate the relationship between quantifiable and experiential, abstracted and embodied knowledges.
Complete information and registration (the symposium is free but registration is required): https://reembodieddata.xyz/

4.30pm - 6.00pm Panel: Decolonising AI
With allapopp, Milagros Miceli, Marwa Fatafta. Moderated by Walid El-Houri.
In migration contexts, digital technologies and big data collection are programmed to be used for tracking, surveillance, and profiling. Looking beyond the harms or 'side effects' of AI and its dangerous impact on marginalised and racialised communities, Marwa Fatafta's presentation draws on the current reality of occupied Palestine.
Through a specific investigation of data work, the often overlooked labour essential to creating datasets, Milagros Miceli discusses how it plays a critical role in shaping AI technologies.
While engaging with recent developments in decolonial thought in the field of AI, and embracing both personal hopes and discomfort caused by the expanding post-Soviet decolonial dialogue, allapopp wants to facilitate a conversation about technology.
