Production Linked incentive scheme 2020
(Part 01/02)
- Introduced in April 2020
- It is a part of National Policy on Electronics
- It proposes a financial incentive to boost domestic manufacturing and attract large investments in the electronics value chain including mobile phones, electronic components etc.
Features:
- incentive of 4% to 6% on incremental sales for companies
- 2019-20 as the base year for calculation of incentives.
- Applicable to target segments namely mobile phones and specified electronic components.
- Applications for a period of 4 months initially which may be extended.
- Nodal Agency which shall act as a Project Management Agency (PMA)

This scheme will help in strengthening the Make in India project of Indian government.

Life in Miniature project
It is a collaborative project between the National Museum, New Delhi, Ministry of Culture, and Google Arts & Culture.
Several hundred miniature paintings from the National Museum, New Delhi can be viewed online on Google Arts & Culture by people around the world under this project.
The project uses technologies like machine learning, augmented reality and digitization with high-definition robotic cameras, to showcase these special works of art in a magical new way.

NAG - Anti-tank guided missile (ATGM)
DRDO recently carried out the final user trial of the third generation anti-tank guided missile (ATGM), Nag, at the Pokhran.

- the Nag ATGM can be launched from both- land as well as air-based platforms.

- The missile is fitted with home-developed infrared seeker and avionics, the capabilities possessed by only a few nations in the world.

Those who couldn’t qualify don’t get disheartened. Again Work hard, do some analysis— what went wrong, what can be done to improve score etc etc. But for next 4-5 months give focus completely on Mains preparation. Do tell urself Sabka time ata hain, apna bhi ayega. Time is the only solution. Hold on the ground, keep working hard, don’t give up. Best wishes.

Indus Valley civilization - Dairy Production
- For the first time it’s been proved scientifically that dairy production was in place in the Indus Valley civilization in 2500 BCE.
- It is the earliest known evidence of dairy production.
- The results were based on molecular chemical analysis of residue in shards of pottery found at the archaeological site of Kotada Bhadli located in Gujarat

The first two rounds of these dialogues were held in 2018 and 2019.

News-Recently the Supreme Court has stayed the appointment of retired Supreme Court judge Madan B. Lokur to monitor the burning of stubble.

News: Recently, electric pottery wheels to 100 potter families in Maharashtra were distributed under the Kumhar Sashaktikaran Yojana (KSY).
It was launched in 2018.
Aim: To strengthen and improve the living of potters in the country by making them self reliant (Atma Nirbhar).
Features: Providing potters with modern equipment and training.
Significance
Revival of traditional art and culture of pottery
eliminated drudgery from the process of pottery making
Increase in the production by 3-4 times.

Recently State of Global Level 2020 revealed that India had faced the highest exposure to toxic air in the world in 2019.
Released by Carbon Copy and Respirer Living Sciences, two environmental organizations.
It presents a comparative picture of particulate matter (PM) for 122 Indian cities since 2016.
Key points
It is a National Air Quality Monitoring Programme (NAMP) based dashboard.
It is built on data from Central Pollution Control Board’s National Ambient Air Quality Monitoring (NAAQM) Network.
