- Its an agricultural product price set by the government to purchase directly from the farmer.
- It is guarantee price for farmers produce from the Government.
- Objectives - to support the farmers from distress sales and to procure food grains for public distribution.
- Announced at the beginning of the sowing season for certain crops on the basis of the recommendations of Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP).
List of crops
Cereals (7) - paddy, wheat, barley, jowar, bajra, maize and ragi
Pulses (5) - gram, arhar/tur, moong, urad and lentil
Oilseeds (8) - groundnut, rapeseed/mustard, toria, soyabean, sunflower seed, sesamum, safflower seed and nigerseed

- Provides for an Authority to regulate financial services in the IFSCs in India.
- Composition - 9 members
2 from Ministry of Finance
1 each from SEBI, RBI, IRDAI & PRFDA.
2 officials - to be appointed on the recommendation of a search committee.
Term of Members - 3 years.
Functions
- It will regulate financial products like contracts of insurance, financial institutions and services, deposits and securities that were previously approved by regulators such as SEBI, RBI and IFSC.
- The authority will constitute Performance Review Committee that will review the functioning of the authority.
- It proposes setting up of International Financial Service Centre Authority Funds.

- It is a highly contagious and fatal animal disease. It infects domestic and wild pigs, resulting in hemorrhagic fever.
- first detected in Africa in the 1920s.
- mortality is close to 100%(reason - No Cure)
- spreading can only be stopped by culling the animals.
