- Gavi is an international organisation β a global Vaccine Alliance, bringing together public and private sectors with the shared goal of creating equal access to new and underused vaccines for children living in the worldβs poorest countries.
- GAVI has observer status at the World Health Assembly.
- Gavi brings together developing country and donor governments, the World Health Organization, UNICEF, the World Bank, the vaccine industry in both industrialised and developing countries, research and technical agencies, civil society, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and other private philanthropists.

The Balukhand-Konark Wildlife Sanctuary
- It is a wildlife sanctuary located in the state of Odisha.
- The sanctuary is home to a herd of Blackbuck and Spotted Deer. Olive ridley sea turtles nest on the beaches.

Inland Vessels Bill, 2021
- Introduced recently in Lok Sabha.
Features of the Bill:
- It provides for a unified law for the entire country, instead of separate rules framed by the States.
- The certificate of registration granted under the proposed law will be deemed to be valid in all States and Union Territories, and there will be no need to seek separate permissions from the States.
- The Bill provides for a central data base for recording the details of vessel, vessel registration, crew on an electronic portal.
- It requires all mechanically propelled vessels to be mandatorily registered.
- All non-mechanically propelled vessels will also have to be enrolled at district, taluk or panchayat or village level.

Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) 2021
- an initiative of the Ministry of Education (MoE)
- to rank all major higher educational institutions in India
- Indicators Used- innovation, start-up and entrepreneurship development among students and faculties.
- Based on parameters such as patent filing and granted, number of registered students and faculty start-ups, fund generation by incubated start-ups, specialised infrastructure created by institutions to promote innovation and entrepreneurship, etc.

EWS quota
- 103rd CAA 2019 amended the Articles 15(6) and 16(6) to provide 10% reservation to Economically Weaker Section (EWS) in admission to educational institutions and government jobs.
Criteria for determining EWS reservation
- Persons who are not covered under the reservation for SCs, STs and OBCs
- Familyβs gross annual income must be below Rs 8 lakh
- People who own less than 5 acres of agricultural land
- People who have a house but less than 1000 square feet in a town.
- Residential plot of less than 100 sq yards in notified municipalities
- Residential plot of less than 200 sq yards in areas other than the notified municipalities
