If youre rich you don't need a personal brand. Also if you commited crimes, you really don't want it

"growing your personal brand" is vastly overrated imo and most people are doing it just cause we're addicted to seeing the blue X notifications button

RT @epicenterbtc: 🚀 NEW EPISODE 🚀

The Infinite Garden: Humanity’s Shared World Computer

@tw_tter chats with @hwwonx & @tkstanczak, co-executive directors of @ethereumfndn, about @ethereum's enduring commitment to its foundational principles and the pressures it faces in a rapidly evolving blockchain landscape.

💭As society evolves, so do its values and principles, but is that desirable for technology that seeks to build the most reliable, trustless and censorship-resistant global settlement layer?

Ever since the surge in popularity of @solana due to its inflow of retail capital in the memecoin gold rush, @ethereum became even more criticized for sticking true to its core values despite the completely divergent demands of market participants.

Moreover, the rollup centric roadmap seemed to further silo attention and cause liquidity fragmentation, driving away value from Ethereum mainnet.

@ethereumfndn's response, under its new leadership, is to double down on scaling both L1 mainnet and data availability through blobs, while improving UX and interoperability across L2s and the application layer. This suggests a pragmatic shift to address market demands without abandoning core values.

RT @ShanghaiMacro: Regardless of the eventual outcome of the US-China trade talks or their near-term market implications, the symbolic and strategic significance of this round of dialogue is profound for China.

From the perspective of many Chinese observers, the urgency displayed by Washington in initiating negotiations and seeking tariff reductions has underscored the US’ vulnerability—confirming its image, in their eyes, as a "PAPER TIGER."

In my view, the successful meeting between Bessent and He may well represent a turning point: the US’ de facto recognition of China as a true “peer competitor”—not merely a "near-peer." This subtle yet powerful shift in posture has not gone unnoticed.

As Hu Xijin, former Editor-in-Chief of the Global Times, remarked in a recent Weibo post:

“China has achieved the most equal negotiation with the United States among all nations. The two sides had been at loggerheads, but their first official contact yielded substantial results—an unexpected turn of events. I believe this breakthrough is precisely the result of China’s readiness to stand firm and its unwavering commitment to principle.”

For many in China, this moment is more than just a diplomatic milestone—it is a vindication of a strategy rooted in resilience, composure, and strength. In their view, China has shown the world how one should deal with the United States: not with capitulation, but with confidence and conviction.

By standing firm, China has not only secured concessions from Washington, but also earned a measure of respect, recognition, and even admiration from the broader international community.

This meeting, in my view, marks the first tangible vindication of a vision laid out by President Xi exactly a decade ago: the establishment of a new type of great-power relationship between China and the United States.

The message is clear—Washington can no longer act with unchecked dominance, imposing its will without facing real consequences. The era of US preponderance is gone, and a deepening multipolar world is taking shape, with China asserting its place not as a challenger from the periphery, but as a peer at the table.
