Two weeks ago, myself, @DefiDevrel, and @kokocodes hosted the @homebasedotlove IRL workshop in Lagos and it was a great success!🔥

The aim was to empower the next wave of onchain builders, prepare attendees for the Buildathon, connect them with the larger builder community, and guide them through building the next k!ller onchain App.

We recorded:
- 80 registrations
- 58 attendees
- A good number of teams formed and connections made.

RT @AlexandreLaizet: With fiat convertible debt market the benchmark practice is to limit the amount raised to approx. 20-30% of the BTC fiat value on the balance sheet. We had 40 BTC on the balance sheet at the time before this operation, so the potential amount that could be raised with fiat converts would have been very low and generate less BTC Yield for shareholders. On the other hand, the BTC denominated convertible note we structured is fully scalable as it doesn't have in itself credit risk for the company and has terms that protect the company (e.g., conversion at the hand of the company the last 2Y if strike price is reached - and we are already above the strike price so non-conversion risk is very low). BTC denominated converts therefore allowed us to maximize BTC Yield for shareholders in a risk-minimized way and increase significantly the number of BTC on the balance sheet (from 40 to 620), which was a very accretive operation in BTC terms for shareholders.
