Very excited for this next chapter in the saga that is @base — congrats to @jessepollak and the whole team.

This classification requires a chain to have:

1) permissionless fault proofs (added to Base back in October), plus

2) increasing the decentralization of the contract upgrade process with a security council, which has just been announced now.

On that note, I am also very honored to share that I have been asked to serve as one of the inaugural cohort of 10 members of the Base Security Council.

It’s an honor and responsibility I take very seriously, and I will be sure to fulfill any and all council duties with pride!
