In 8th grade, my best friend of the time was toxic and just a terrible person.
•She would gaslight me and gatekeep things I introduced to her
•She drove my only friend away by saying they were racist, simply because she was dating a black guy
•Became a Christian and a homophobe, convinced my crush that I was a sinner since I was bisexual(she has an ex-girlfriend)
•Hit on my crush and would make me sit close to him though I did not want to interact with him no more
•Cheated on her bf with said crush, later spread a rumor that I was just jealous even though I had proof of it.
And more...
But today, coming home from school, I saw her. She looked awful. And it made me happy because I could finally realize she's a human, and she can't hurt me anymore. She's the one now that has to live with herself and all shes done and carry the weight I've been carrying this whole time.
