'The Project will be completed by 2028-2030': ISRO Director Nilesh M Desai on Mangalyaan 2

“Work on Mangalyaan 2 has already started. The mission is being developed as envisioned and is expected to be completed between 2028 and 2030. Unlike its predecessor, Mangalyaan 2 is designed to land on Mars. Landing on Mars is considered easier than on the Moon due to its thin atmosphere, which allows the use of parachutes and motorized systems for a smoother descent. The spacecraft will take about 10 months to reach Mars and will be fully operated from Earth. With this mission, India will join the select group of 2–3 nations to have achieved a Mars landing.”

🇷🇺/🇺🇦 Russia launches missile and drone attack on Kyiv, targeting power grid
Russia has launched a massive wave of attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, Ukrainian officials said on Friday, leaving parts of Kyiv without power. The Kremlin appears to be reviving a familiar wartime tactic — depriving Ukrainians of electricity and heat ahead of the harsh winter months.

According to official reports and CNN’s assessment, Russia began targeting Ukraine’s energy network in late September, with near-daily strikes since then on power generation, gas production, and distribution facilities.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russian forces have carried out around 1,550 strikes on energy infrastructure across the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Poltava regions, with about 160 of those successfully hitting their targets.
