According to the statement, four individuals were arrested for allegedly bringing explosive devices into Azerbaijan on the instructions of IRGC-linked operatives and hiding them at various locations. Two others, including a woman, were detained for plotting an assassination attempt against a public official.
The statement added that the planned targets included the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan oil pipeline, the Israeli Embassy in Baku, a leader of the Mountain Jews Community, and the Ashkenazi Synagogue.
