IT dept. analyzed data from a major billing software used by over 177,000 restaurants, uncovering at least ₹70,000 crore in suppressed sales through tactics like deleting cash invoices and under-reporting. They using AI and big data on six years.
And this software is used by just 10% restaurants, around 27% of sales were potentially the extent of under-reporting!
