Arbitration court's order illegal: India slams Indus treaty decision favouring Pak

India said it has never formally recognised the existence of the "so-called Court of Arbitration" and emphasised that its creation under the Indus Waters Treaty was a "serious breach."

The Foreign Ministry said that any award or decision taken by the court is "illegal."

The Hague-based Court of Arbitration directed India to submit the operational logbooks of the two hydroelectric plants by February 9 or provide a formal explanation for its refusal to do so.
