🇮🇳🇪🇺 Tariffs on cars are set to be reduced to 40% from the current 110% under the India–EU trade deal, and will eventually be lowered further to 10%.

The government has agreed to immediately cut tariffs on a limited number of cars imported from the 27-nation bloc that have an import price of more than €15,000 ($17,739).

These tariffs will be gradually reduced to 10%, easing access to the Indian market for European automakers such as Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW.

Padma Awards 2026 - For the year 2026, the President has approved conferment of 131 Padma Awards as per list below.
