Army may set up fourth new base near India-Bangladesh border in Mizoram

After setting up three new Army bases in an arc covering West Bengal, Bihar and Assam to shield the sensitive ‘Chicken’s Neck’ or Siliguri Corridor, Indian defence authorities are exploring the possibilities of establishing a fourth station in Mizoram.

BSF also has long-term plans to build inland defensive structures and underground armouries in Silchar under the Silchar and Mizoram frontier.

Indus Waters Treaty: Suspension of water 'an act of war', Pakistan warns India

Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday accused India of consistently attempting to undermine the Indus Waters Treaty. He also warned that the disruption would be considered as “an act of war”.
