« وأحبُّ كَثْرة الصّلاَة عَلىٰ النَّبي ﷺ فِي كُلّ حَال،
وإنّهَا في يومِ الجُمعة وليلتَها أشَدُّ استحبابًا.»
“I love to send blessings upon the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, in every situation.
And on Friday and its night, it is more desirable.”

virtues of saying لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله:
*before enumerating the virtues of this great word, we will mention its meaning so that the servant can sense it while saying it, and it springs from his heart before his tongue, and he knows after that the merit that results from it.
⁃ it’s meaning: Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, said: there is no power for us to act in obedience except with Allah, and there is no power for us to abandon disobedience except with Allah.
⁃ likewise, al-Nawawi said: It is a word of submission and entrustment to Allah Almighty, and an acknowledgment of submitting to Him, that there is no maker other than Him, and there is no refutation of His command, and that the servant does not possess anything in the matter.
among its many virtues:
1. it is an expiation for sins; the Prophet ﷺ said, “There is no one on earth who says:
لا إلَهَ إلَّا اللَّهُ واللَّهُ أَكْبرُ ولا حولَ ولا قوَّةَ إلَّا باللَّهِ
‘will have his wrong actions forgiven even if they are as abundant as the foam on the sea.’
2. it is sufficient for the servant and a protection for him from Shaytan; the Prophet ﷺ said, “When he leaves his house and he says:
بِسْمِ اللهِ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللهِ، لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا باللَّهِ
‘it is sufficient for you, you have been sufficed, guided and protected, and Shaytan will meet another Shaytan and say to him: How are you with a man who has been sufficed, guided and protected?’
3. and it is a reason for a supplication to be answered and worship being accepted. The Prophet ﷺ said, “If anyone is disturbed [from sleep] during the night and says:
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ: رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي أَوْ قَالَ: ثمَّ دَعَا
‘then says, ‘My Lord, forgive me’ (or he said, then makes supplication), he will receive an answer; and if he performs ablution and prays, his prayer will be accepted.’
4. It is one of the gates of heaven from the hadith of Qais bin Saad bin Ubadah that his father pushed him to the Prophet ﷺ to serve him, So the Prophet ﷺ passed by me, and I had just performed Salat, so he poked me with his foot and said: ‘Should I not direct you to a gate from the gates of Paradise?’ I said: ‘Of course.’ He ﷺ said: ‘There is no might or power except with Allah (Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh).’
5. and whoever persists in it finds strength in his body, Ibn Al-Qayyim said, “And I heard Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah - mentioning an effect in this chapter, which is,: when the angels were commanded to carry the throne, they said: O our Lord, how do we carry your throne and upon it is your greatness and majesty? He said (to the angels): Say: There is neither might nor power except with Allah, the Most High, the Great. When they said it, they carried it (the throne).
6. And this word has a wondrous effect on the one suffering, enduring hardships, entering upon kings, those who fear, or ridding terrors.

For those who have not started fasting the 6 days of Shawwal yet:
The door of great reward is still open for you. And what is it except only a few days that will pass from your life; its thirst will go away and you will forget it. However, its reward is very great and lasting, contemplate on the hadith Qudsi:
‘Except fasting, for it is for Me and I shall reward it.’
So imagine (the reward) if it’s (completion) is equivalent to fasting for a year? Begin, seeking the help of your Lord, and do not tire.
—اللهم أعنا على صيام الست من شوال 💌

the quality of your life depends on your thoughts of Allāh. think well of Allāh & you will bare the sweetness of your life regardless of how sour your circumstances are. learn to always find the good in the bad, even when you don’t fully understand the hikma in your situation. Allāh is ultimately what His slaves think of Him.
