so... like a lot of music fans... i love sun ra... especially this early stuff... i guess maybe it doesn't sound 'outer space' enough for some folks... but it's super inventive and deep and classic.

Malvina Reynolds – Malvina

malvina was a 60's-70s politcal folk singer type, which sounds boring... but malvina... and this lp... are far from boring. for me she is so special and tapped in ...i wish there were people like her around these days...! her songs and voice an occasional fuzz guitar on this lp are insane in the best way.

technically this is 2 lps, but the copy i have has both lps in one. there's no words to describe this band... but they took old timey 30s/40s songs on these lps... and pushed them in insane ways and made them so great. these days i listen to old timey music all the time and play it too... & these 2 lps got me into it originally (Stampfel is still doing amazing stuff btw!).
