Column: The chronic toddler in the Little Tower

Max von Kreyfelt

Rob Jetten is Prime Minister of the Netherlands. That sentence alone has something of a school play about the teacher being sick and the cheekiest little boy putting on his tie.

There he stands. Thirty-nine years old, perpetually cheerful, and with the authority of someone who was once allowed to announce at ProRail that the train isn't running, but that the travel experience remains central. By now, he governs the country in the same way: the Netherlands isn't getting anywhere, but the presentation looks polished.

Jetten looks as if he has just received a compliment from the communications department. Even when he announces sacrifices, the satisfied little smile of a pupil who has pronounced the word ‘responsibility’ flawlessly appears. You expect a sticker on his jacket at any moment: well done, Rob.

It is not that he is young. The problem is that he never gives the impression of having grown up. His political language consists of baby food. Austerity measures become necessary choices. Transferring power to Brussels is called cooperation. More money for defense is investing in peace. And when the citizen is worse off, it happens to move forward together.

Jetten doesn't even lie convincingly. He visibly believes in the brochure.

His career is a journey through institutions where responsibility is constantly passed on: municipal council, ProRail, House of Representatives, climate minister, and then straight to the Prime Minister's office. An administrative nursery school with an ever-growing climbing frame. Nowhere did he have to stay long enough to clean up the mess himself.

That is why he is so suitable.

A prime minister with life experience would ask questions. Who decided this? Why does the Netherlands have to pay? What does the citizen get in return? Can Brussels listen to us for once? Such questions slow down the flow and, moreover, can stimulate independent thinking.

Jetten is not bothered by that. He receives policy like a child receives a coloring page: enthusiastically, without asking about its origin, and determined to stay within the European lines.

His cabinet holds 66 of the 150 parliamentary seats. No majority, hardly any support, but a prime minister who speaks as if the people had appointed him unanimously. That is his talent: he presents even a political deficit as innovative leadership.

The office is being dismantled in this way. The ideal prime minister is a friendly presenter who explains decisions without ever revealing who actually made them.

Rutte turned the Little Tower into a sales office. Jetten turned it into a daycare center.

He is not a political mistake, but the end product of a system that considers adult leaders more dangerous than obedient toddlers.

The Netherlands still has a prime minister. It is just that someone will have to come and replace him on time.

Another forced mobilisation in Ukraine, but while the guy was almost pinned down, two guys burst in out of nowhere and used pepper spray . EU taxpayer money is used also for forced mobilisation, but Ukrainians don't want to fight anymore.

📄 Statement issued by the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Syrian Arab Republic: "Sectarian violations and acts of domestic intimidation against the Alawite community continue"

On hate speech and women's participation:

"The Commission is concerned about the impact of hate speech and threats of violence on the willingness of some communities, as well as women, to participate more readily in public affairs. In this regard, the Commission recalls that women represent only 10 percent of the newly established People's Assembly and encourages all actors to ensure a more meaningful representation of women in leadership positions."

On hate speech and online harassment:

"Meanwhile, hate speech and online harassment continues to be reported, often directed against members of minority groups based on their perceived links with the former government. The Commission is also alarmed by reported threats of violence against women, particularly against women activists and those engaged in public discourse, notably online."

On deaths in detention:

"So far, this year, the Commission has identified nine reported cases of death in detention. We were deeply troubled by the death of former humanitarian worker Muhammad Ghamira, following his detention in a police station in rural Latakia, which we are currently investigating."

On torture documentation:

"The Commission recalls that it documented torture and ill-treatment in 18 detention facilities and 12 makeshift detention facilities in its last report to this Council."

On displaced families:

"In addition, thousands of Druze and Bedouin families, as well as Alawite families from Hama, - some of whom fled after the fall of the former government and the violence in March 2025 - remain displaced with limited returns having taken place."

On accountability and sectarian abuses:

"Accountability for the violations that took place in March 2025 also remains limited, with trials of suspects reportedly ongoing. Localized sectarian abuses and intimidation of the Alawite community continue to be reported with some civilians conveying to the Commission their feelings of marginalization."

On killings in Homs:

"We are investigating incidents of reported killings predominantly targeting the Alawite community in Homs over the last months, including cases of mothers and their children. In some cases, authorities reportedly failed to conduct diligent investigations while some complainants said they had withdrawn their complaints after receiving threats."

My latest article: 9/11 and how the War on Terror began and continues after 25 years
https://freesuriyah.com/2026/09/11/9-11-and-how-the-war-on-terror-began-and-continues-after-26-years/
The illegal war against Islam and various countries that began 25 years ago Photo’s: Adobe Stock, editing: Mirjam Photo

Twenty-five years ago, there was an attack on the so-called “Twin Towers” in New York, USA, in which people lost their lives. There are various theories regarding the attack. It could have been an Israeli plot, because—according to many insiders—all Jewish and Israeli employees were absent that day; had they been warned? No one knows for sure; there is also speculation about insider trading on the stock market:

” Various regulators and analysts noted a massive spike in the trading of so-called ‘put options’—financial contracts that allow investors to speculate on a drop in share prices. However, after extensive investigation, official bodies concluded that no concrete evidence of insider trading by different parties with inside information had been found”.
The “War on Terror” began following attacks that experts have described as a “false flag” operation on the Twin Towers. This war commenced with accusations against Osama bin Laden and his Al-Qadea group, who was said to be hiding in Afghanistan. It was there that the US—along with its primarily Western allies—launched brutal wars against the populations of Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen, North Korea and Russia were labelled under the Axis-of-Evil, although not attacked then; now, 25 years later, we are witnessing the escalation of the so-called “War on Terror” against tiny Lebanon, with Russia as the ultimate target by the deep-state. Despite any supposed negotiations or friendly relations between the US and Russia, the US remains the enemy; after all, it continues to supply weapons to Ukraine to kill Russians—it is as simple as that.

President Bush Jr. was informed that day in 2001, or so they say, but he likely already knew (an inside job). The fact that he was reading to a school class from a book he held upside down—probably due to pre-event nerves—serves as some proof, or at least is an indication, that he knew.

That is the dismal tally after twenty-six years of the “War on Terror”—a conflict that continues to this day. Different figures—deranged ones like Trump, clever ones like Obama, or dim-witted ones like Bush Jr.—sell this war to the public in their own ways; for most people, these conflicts feel like distant, remote events. That is, until the war expands—as we are seeing happen now—though in reality, it began twenty-six years ago.

Sonja van den Ende My Comments on RT about charges brought against NABU Director Semyon Kryvonos.
Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko has filed charges against Semen Kryvonos, director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).
Kravchenko announced the move in a video address posted on his Telegram channel, saying: “I have signed the charges against NABU Director Semen Kryvonos.” The plot around Zelensky is getting thicker and thicker!
