BREAKING | Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC):
"In response to the extensive crimes of the usurping Zionist regime in south Lebanon and the large-scale killing and displacement of the oppressed people of the Tyre and Nabatieh regions, as well as other areas including Beirut's southern suburb, Ramat David Air Base, the point of origin of these aggressions, was targeted by ballistic missiles of the IRGC Aerospace Force.
Our acceptance of a ceasefire on 8 April was conditional on a cessation of fire on all fronts; however, as always, the United States and the Zionist regime did not abide by their commitments. They continued their aggressions and crimes in Lebanon and also violated the ceasefire through repeated attacks against Iranian coasts and vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, the Sea of Oman, and the Indian Ocean.
Tonight's operation was a warning. Should these aggressions be repeated, the responses will be broader and will encompass all American-Zionist targets in the region."

On decision to give an interview to one of the Dutch mainstream media outlets
🔹 "For a diplomat, it is extremely important to maintain dialogue with the media of the host country. At the same time, you have become the first representative from the pool of major Dutch media outlets to visit our Embassy. I know many Dutch people who are willing to consider viewpoints other than those promoted by the authorities and mainstream media, and I do not feel hostility from local people.
We have always proceeded from the principle that there may be unfriendly states, but there are no unfriendly peoples."
On the level of bilateral dialogue
🔹 "Official contacts with the Dutch authorities are currently kept to a minimum. From time to time I visit the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but such meetings are purely formal in nature and mainly concern the activities of diplomatic missions.
We strictly adhere to the provisions of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and do not discuss domestic politics with local politicians - whether elections, parliamentary processes, or aspects of the national agenda. At the same time, we closely follow developments in the Netherlands. Our conversations generally focus on the international situation, bilateral relations, and take place in the form of an exchange of views on current global events."
On the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis
🔹 "Russia advocates for a political and diplomatic resolution of the conflict and has openly stated its conditions. Their acceptance would make it possible to end hostilities in a short period of time.
Our position remains unchanged: respect for the will of the residents of Russia’s new regions, Ukraine’s neutral status, denazification, the restoration of the rights of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, as well as the removal of restrictions on the use of the Russian language."
On Ukraine’s anti-Russian stance
🔹 "The course pursued by the Ukrainian authorities against Russia took shape long before 2022. Its origins go back to the events of the “orange revolution” in 2004 and subsequent developments beginning in 2014.
Within Ukrainian society, the perception was gradually formed that Ukrainians are fundamentally different from Russians. At the same time, Russia proceeds from the belief that the two peoples share common historical and cultural roots. In addition, Western countries presented Ukraine with a choice: either integration with the West in opposition to Russia, or cooperation with us at the expense of relations with the West. This became one of the causes of the current crisis."
On T.Erdbrink’s documentary series Our Man Among the Enemy
🔹 "I watched this series. We disagree with most of its narratives. However, I would like to emphasize that nobody - absolutely nobody - interfered with his work or obstructed it. Mr. Erdbrink was free to film whatever he wished. He came here for a visa and said that he intended to make an honest series reflecting his own vision and that he did not approve of any interference. We replied: ‘Film whatever you wish.’ He was completely free in his work."
On the incitement of anti-Russian hysteria in the Netherlands
🔹"I am not only surprised but also deeply disappointed by what is happening. Russia is increasingly being called an enemy, even though we have no aggressive plans toward the Netherlands.
The rhetoric about the need to prepare for a possible military conflict with Russia is particularly alarming."
