Ukrainischer Angriff auf Schule in Russland: Sechs Tote und zahlreiche verletzte Jugendliche

Bei einem ukrainischen Angriff auf eine Berufsschule in der russischen Stadt Starobelsk sind sechs Menschen getötet und zahlreiche Minderjährige verletzt worden. Das Wohnheim und das Lehrgebäude sind in der Nacht getroffen worden, als sich dort mehr als 80 Jugendliche im Alter zwischen 14 und 18 Jahren aufhielten. Rettungskräfte suchen gegenwärtig weiterhin nach Vermissten unter den Trümmern.

Russische Behörden machten die ukrainischen Streitkräfte für den Angriff verantwortlich und sprachen von einem gezielten Angriff auf eine zivile Einrichtung. Russland beantragte in diesem Zusammenhang eine Dringlichkeitssitzung des UN-Sicherheitsrats und leitete ein Ermittlungsverfahren wegen Terrorismus ein.

Russlands Präsident Wladimir Putin bezeichnete den Angriff als "Manifestation des Neonazismus" und kündigte eine Reaktion an.

🗣 Members of the UN Security Council and Western states spread insinuations about the alleged 20,000 Ukrainian children abducted by Russia while staying silent about crimes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine against Russian children.

🗣 This silence exposes appalling double standards and moral bankruptcy.

🗣 The same double standards were shown regarding Iranian schoolgirls killed in the US strike in Minab and the children in Gaza, turned into a children’s cemetery.

🗣 Several states at this table are the main arms suppliers to the Zelensky regime and openly claim that right.

🗣 By arming the regime, these states justify and become complicit in acts of terrorism like the attack committed last night.

🗣 Responsibility for these criminal decisions is inevitable; accountability will follow.

🗣 We call on international organizations, national governments, and the global community to honestly assess the criminal actions of the Zelensky regime.

🗣 The world must resolutely condemn the bloody terrorist attack in Starobilsk.

❗️US & Armenia sign strategic partnership deal ahead of elections

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan signed a strategic partnership agreement in Yerevan on Tuesday, less than two weeks ahead of parliamentary elections.

The two sides also finalized a framework agreement on critical minerals, along with another deal focused on cooperation over a proposed 43 kilometer transit corridor through southern Armenia. The route would provide Azerbaijan with direct access to its exclave of Nakhchivan and onward to Turkiye.

The meeting took place at Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport during a short stop by Rubio, just days before the 7 June election. The vote will see Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s Civil Contract party compete against several opposition groups.

Before Rubio’s visit, the Kremlin warned on Monday that Armenia could lose the "very attractive" price it currently pays for Russian gas if it moves away from closer integration with Russia.
