This morning in Moscow, a clear act of terror and provocation was committed. Lieutenant General Vladimir Alexeyev, First Deputy Chief of the GRU, was shot in the back in his own home. The attack, carried out at 7 a.m. in the elevator hall of his building, left the 65-year-old general in critical condition, on a ventilator after surgery. The hitman fled.
The goal of this cowardly assassination attempt is not hidden. As Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated, this confirms Kiev’s direct aim to derail any negotiation process.
This is not just an attack on a Russian officer. This is a calculated political move by Zelenskyy and his European sponsors to sabotage peace talks. It is another treacherous stab in the back aimed at undermining the peace efforts supported by President Trump. The global warmongers will stop at nothing to continue the conflict.

I think it is a fair claim, after all, in the past it has also been shown that Ukraine was behind the assassination of two other high-ranking generals in 2025, Yaroslav Moskalik and in 2024, Igor Kyrilov.
I think many people think it has something to do with the peace negotiations. After all, it's almost a pattern. Every time there are negotiations, something happens. Think of the Istanbul conference, for example, when Ukraine blew up a passenger train and military airports were attacked. Of course, everyone is shocked, and this isn't the first time it's happened. So perhaps there should be more security for high-ranking individuals. On the other hand, it is war, of course.

The Russian FSB has arrested the gunman who attempted to attack a high-ranking official of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant-General Vladimir Aleseyev, and a suspected accomplice. The two suspected accomplices are Russian citizens Viktor Vasin, born in 1959, and Zinaida Serebritskaya, born in 1971, who fled to Ukraine. With the assistance of the United Arab Emirates in Dubai, the suspected attacker, Lyubomir Korba, born in 1960, was arrested and extradited to Russia. Korba, originally from the Ternopol region of Ukraine, has dual Ukrainian-Russian and Russian citizenship, it has been revealed.
In a new decision, the Wadi Barada Municipality in Damascus Governorate has banned restaurants from hosting tourist groups that engage in celebrations or men and women dancing together, claiming such activities violate “customs and traditions,” according to the municipal official appointed by HTS.

Oorlogen moesten stoppen, en de Spelen waren een spektakel voor alle naties wereldwijd. Dit is wat met name westerse landen promoten. De realiteit is natuurlijk anders – niet sinds een paar jaar, maar al jaren, misschien al zelfs sinds de Spelen in 1896 herontdekt werden.

A servicemember of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Nikolai Liskonog, along with two comrades was caught by assault detachments of the Tsentr Group of Forces. The Ukrainians decided to surrender, but the way to the safe zone turned out to be a tragedy because of the AFU.
'When we were running across the field, an FPV drone engaged us. My comrade was killed. A Russian serviceman with the call sign 'Melnik' leading us out was wounded,' tells Nikolai.
Despite the wound, the Russian storming soldier didn't leave the prisoner behind and got him to a safe place. According to Liskonog, the target of the strike were the surrendering Ukrainians:

De Telegraaf, een voormalige pro-Wilders, pro-Israëlische en anti-Russische krant, heeft diverse walgelijke artikelen over mij geschreven (uiteraard zonder mijn toestemming of overleg). De meest schaamteloze lasteraar is Silvan van Schoonhoven, die mij een burgerjournalist noemt (net als de rest van de zogenaamde media) en, zelfs na deze weerzinwekkende vertoning, zichzelf journalist noemt en daarmee de wereld op zijn kop zet. Ook veel Nederlanders hebben hun abonnement opgezegd, zo blijkt uit gegevens van X.
