The fall that raises
You only see the fall of the water. You don’t see how the Ocean becomes the Cloud. The ocean becoming the cloud is a secret, but the cloud becoming the ocean is obvious.
In the world only a few can notice your inner growth and height, but your outer expressions are apparent.
Never brood that people don’t understand you. They can only see your expression!

How to deal with humiliation
Know that humiliation does not weaken you -- it strengthens you.
When you have a sense of belongingness, you don't feel humiliated. The more egotistic you are, the more humiliation you feel. When you are childlike and have a greater sense of kinship then you don't feel humiliated.
When you are committed to truth and not to your ego then you also don't feel humiliated.
If you are afraid of humiliation, you can neither make progress in your material life nor in your spiritual life. When you stand above humiliation, you get closer to the Self - to God. When you are steeped in love, with the Existence, with the Divine, nothing whatsoever can humiliate you.
So, the way out of humiliation is:
Get humiliated!
Be childlike
Be crazy
Get steeped in love with the Divine
Total commitment to Truth-Knowledge

You may have heard the statement “Sitting is the New Smoking!”
When I first heard this saying, I thought it was crazy.
Sitting is NOT like smoking.
But recently, I looked more into it, and it completely changed my outlook on one aspect of health that most people neglect.
*Here's the problem: we sit an average of 9 to 10 hours a day. So we sit more than we sleep. We sit more than we stand or do any activity.
We sit in our cars. We sit to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We sit to work. We sit to watch TV. We sit at the movie theater. We sit at the dentist’s office. We sit everywhere.
What’s the problem with so much sitting?
You’ll be surprised to hear that it’s not really “back pain” or any such thing (although, that can happen too!).
The problem with so much sitting is that our bodies were not meant for it.
For millions of year, we were in constant movement for 10-12 hours a day.
Switch that to sitting for 10 hours, and there’s no amount of exercise you can do that can undo the damage.
Even if, after your day at the office, you went to the gym for two hours, it wouldn’t negate the damage done by sitting.
That’s what led Dr. James Levine to coin the phrase “Sitting is the New Smoking!”
When you stand, your body works very differently than when you sit.
Sitting for hours a day causes the following damage ...
Because blood flow slows down, you increase your risk of *heart disease*.
Your *insulin* is negatively affected by just one day of sitting 10 hours a day.
Sitting increases your *risk of cancer*, for reasons we’re still speculating about.
Perhaps it’s the antioxidant processes that are engaged when we are in movement.
Sitting compresses your body, *slowing down digestion,* leading to cramps, heartburn, constipation and bloating.
Brain function slows down when we sit.
Your *brain* gets less blood and oxygen.
Because of the above, mood worsens.
Posture gets worse, leading to strained neck and shoulders.
Your entire body degenerates when you sit 10 hours a day.
Standing requires tensing of the abdominal muscles.
Sitting leads to weak abs, leading to mobility issues.
*Varicose* veins develop.
Your *bones* get weaker.
One study found that you can *increase your lifespan* by two years by sitting down three hours or less a day.
Another study found that each hour spent watching *TV after 25 reduces your life expectancy by 22 minutes*.
*Hence… sitting is the new disease

Dharma (धर्म) is a way of life which integrates an individual/society & brings harmonious living. It has 4 'pillars' or principles which uphold it.
1. Austerity (तप)- acts of discipline and endurance, in order to achieve a higher goal. E.g : simplicity, satisfaction, self-control. Worship of the lord, and superiors like one's father, mother & spiritual master
2. Truthfulness (सत्य) - Not only speaking the Truth, but also being HONEST TO ONESELF and living up to what one knows is right.
3. Compassion (दया) - Human beings have certain capabilities and powers, more than lower species. But that does not mean that we be inconsiderate to others. We must have mercy & compassion for all living beings.
4. Cleanliness (शौच)- both physical cleanliness & mental purity. This includes fidelity and respect towards one's marriage, when one is in that stage of life.
Wherever these 4 are maintained, there is fast spiritual progress & lasting happiness.

Self confidence and ambition
Ambition indicates lack of self-confidence! When you know you can achieve something easily, you are not ambitious about it. You are simply confident about it. Your ambition indicates challenge and uncertainty, which is contrary to self-confidence. So one you has total self-confidence cannot be ambitious!!
At the same time a person who lacks total self-confidence cannot be ambitious either!! For ambition to be, one must have a little bit of confidence and total ignorance of the Self. It is next to impossible to have total confidence without Self-knowledge. With the knowledge of the Self, there is nothing left to achieve, for the entire nature of existence is mere play and display of one's own consciousness. People take pride in being ambitious. The wise man will only smile at them. Ambition can never be for
something you know you can achieve effortlessly. You can only be ambitious about something for which you have to put effort, which poses a challenge and of which you are not even certain you will be able to achieve or not. Moreover it takes away the joy of the moment. With the Self-knowledge nothing is challenging to you, nor you need to put any effort. Nature is ready to fulfill your intention even before they arise, giving you no chance to crave or desire. Nature does not allow the wise to have a desire (ambition), and the unwise to fulfill or get rid of the desire (ambition).
Do you still want to be ambitious ?? Or is your only ambition is to get rid of ambition !! (Laughter )

Before blaming others for making us feel a certain way, let's learn to ask "what is it in me that got triggered by their actions?" Every emotion and feeling takes place within us! Everytime others trigger a pain response, it's a perfect opportunity to reflect on where it is coming from and how it was created! In this way, all relationships become mirrors: to deeply understand and know ourselves 🙏

“There is no conflict in you, the Self. If there is conflict, it is between thought and thought. As long as the sense of ‘I’ and 'other’ is believed, conflict is inevitable. Through self-inquiry confirm again and again: I am the Self, the complete and indivisible whole.”

Forwarded from ONENESS TEACHINGS💞
Q. Dear Bhagavan, what is Oneness spirit, Bhagavan?
Sri Bhagavan: Oneness spirit means first of all you must realize that there is no sameness in the world, nor is it possible, nor is it desirable. We are all different. We create the other and the other is creating us. We are all mutually dependent. The beauty is we're all different. But we're all one. Realizing this is the spirit of Oneness. Seeing how the other is different. And because of that the other is helping you. If we all were the same, there would be no humanity at all. Appreciating this difference is what we call Oneness. When you see this, you are filled with love for the other. You would develop concern for the other. You would develop care for the other and you would become responsible for the other. That is the spirit of Oneness.
