Safaricom Ethiopia is hiring a fullstack developer

they just gave it a weird title.

The posting says Enterprise Integration Specialist. Read the actual
description and it's a backend heavy fullstack role. Spring Boot for the
APIs, Angular or React on the frontend, Kubernetes and CI/CD for deploys,
plus tier 2 production support.

2 to 3 years experience, Addis Ababa.

Pay is good, and the benefits beat most places here. Medical cover, plus
subsidized staff loans for a car or a house at rates way under the banks.

If you've been writing Java backends and can hold your own on the
frontend, apply.

New opportunity at AfterQuery. You can sell your private repos.

Atrium buys private codebases for AI training data. Quote in a couple of days.

What it pays: based on codebase size, years of history, and team size.

• Solo, small, 2 months of history: $900 to $2,700
• Large, 4+ years, real team: $30,000 to $90,000

So anywhere from $100 to $90,000.

Advise you to only submit repos you actually own. Not your employer's, not a client's. The
questionnaire asks if you're authorized and I never saw how they check, so try to be responsible.

I submitted and I'm still waiting on the official quote, no money yet. That last
review step took days and I stopped waiting to post this.
I'll update you.

I would appreciate if you use my referral link when you sign up. Gets me $100 when a deal completes.

Or code PP5MVG at signup. Only works at signup, not after.

Thinking about diversifying my income stream.

giving upwork one more shot

the good thing about upwork is, if you manage to get jobs now, you have a public track record and reputation anyone can check. not just inside your client's network. which is where mine currently lives. of course, the fees hurt.

these ethiopian freelancers motivated me:

DAB is building a data annotation roster. Deadline is today.

They reached out to me directly. They're bidding on a data annotation contract and need 3000+ people lined up before it closes. If they win, everyone on the roster gets a direct shot at the work.

They want anyone who's done image, text, audio, or video annotation, or annotation QA review.

To apply:
- CV as PDF
- subject line: Data Annotation
- mention your city and availability
- send to dabdrt@gmail.com or consult_dab@dabdrt.com

One thing before you send. Put your annotation work near the top of your CV and spell it out. If you've worked at Turing, Revelo, AfterQuery or similar, don't just write Software Engineer and leave it there, name the annotation and QA review part. Same for any labeling or model evaluation you've done on the side. That's what they're filtering for.

Share it with anyone who fits.

Correction on the DAB post, second one.

They're not hiring annotators. They run data annotation courses backed by Mastercard, and who they actually need is trainers to teach those courses.

It's a paid role. So this is for you if you've done annotation work and can teach it to a room of beginners. If you were applying hoping for labeling work, that's not what this is.

Same as before, CV as PDF to dabdrt@gmail.com or consult_dab@dabdrt.com with Data Annotation as the subject. Say you're applying as a trainer.
