Me :- i Agree we have to respect and treat our Guests with humility and also wash their feet if we could, but where do you get the jesus washin the feet of the guests from?

Me:- No it was his disciples, there was no actual Guest when he did that. And we don't only wash our Guests feet .

By that time people used to wore sandals and their feet gets dirty cuz there was no aspalt,pavement or clean road like todays, it was all dusty road cuz of that they always wash their feet when they get home for their hygiene and the one who does the leg washing for them was the lowest servant or slaves. But christ showed unconditional love and humility to his desciples that no leader is too important to serve others. The social barrier shows the one who wash feet was the lowest or slaves but christ changed that by showing them humble service And told them to do this hospitality to others too.

"Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet" (John 13:14).

"Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant." (Matthew 20:26)

ያንን ማድረግ የክርስቶስ ተከታዮች እንጂ ትንሽ አያረገንም። being humble servant is being great!

Therefore the spiritual background is more than just washing the feet of guests as a welcoming or him just literally washing the feet of Guests. Washing the feet of our Guest is "one of the many many ways of performing what christ showed" So as you see if it was just about washing the feets of the Guest, he'd only does that but it was a whole life lesson.

Also Catholic and OO Christian church perform feet washing ceremony.
Especially OO_Christian church does the ceremony "pedilavium" (ሕፅበተ_እግር) once a year on maundy_Thursday (የፀሎተ-ሐሙስ-ቀን) one of our biggest Ceremony and favoured by non_Christians also.
