I had an interview, and despite preparing well, I couldn't answer some of the questions.

It went badly πŸ₯Ί, but the questions might help you prepare for yours.

It's sad that when I look at the 3 to 4 questions, I didn't explain them carefully. I can answer them, but I couldn't perform well in the interview. It was a $3k per month job, btw. 😭

They asked me to build a a sample demo as the next step in my hiring process for spotter.ai, so I decided to take it a little further.

Built a weather-aware route selection app and turned it into a full production setup, including testing, CI/CD, Docker, Docker Compose, Nginx, and VPS deployment. Build with React and Django

Also put together a YouTube walkthrough to showcase the project and explain how everything works.

I like this helper function. This function allows us to execute functions inside a Postgres transaction, so we don't have to use "BEGIN" and "RELEASE" every time. We also don't have to remember these steps, as everything will be handled inside a transaction, making the code more modular and abstracted.
