Shame on you, Abrhot Library staff 😑

This is crazy. Someone from the administrative staff was literally talking loudly on the phone and disturbing everyone for so long, and nobody said anything because he’s part of the staff.

But imagine how they’d react if we didn’t even talk, but simply answered a phone call.

My friend built this Amharic sentiment analysis model and he needs some GitHub stars for his project.

The model can read Amharic tweets and classify them as positive, negative, or neutral. πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ή

Amharic has a huge number of speakers but still has very few AI tools built specifically for it, so projects like this really matter.

He’s also needs this project to apply for his Master's abroad. If you have a minute, please go check it out and leave him a ⭐️ on GitHub. It would really mean a lot to him. ❀️

YC exit data

YC companies that achieve any exit:
β†’ Roughly 10%

YC companies that exit for $100M or more:
β†’ Roughly 2%

YC companies that have gone public:
β†’ 17 total in 20 years

The realistic outcome for most YC companies isn't an IPO, it's building something durable or a strategic acquisition.

My father is ex-military and had a leadership role, so last time, I ask him different questions about military science and how things work.

He explains a lot about how people learn to follow orders, how discipline is built, and how soldiers are trained to think and act as a unit and have the same mindset. Hearing all of this from someone who actually experienced it is really interesting.

Honestly, it’s been a really good learning experience for me. I think that kind of discipline and hardship can teach you a lot.

I’d actually love to experience that kind of training myself, if the politics and environment around it were healthy.

what's you thought on this?

Btw guys, I’m learning Go as I’m getting deeper into DevSecOps, and honestly, it looks like a really good language for it.

This year is definitely turning into a year of learning new tech and trying out different things.

One thing I really like about Go so far is how its package system works. Unlike Node, where we're used to installing packages from npm, Go has a more decentralized approach. You can publish a module from your own repository, usually GitHub, by just tagging a version.

And this actually solves an interesting problem, a developer removed a tiny package from npm and it caused a lot of projects that depended on it to break.

Go's approach is pretty interesting because it uses module proxies. When you download a public Go module, the Go proxy can fetch and cache that version. So even if the original GitHub repository disappears later, that version can still be available through the proxy.

Go also uses checksums to verify that the module you downloaded is the same code that was originally published.

Guys, once I switch to Omarchy, I’m planning to get a Coursera course and start going deeper into DevSecOps

I’m also currently learning Go using the official docs. I want to actually build things, deploy them, break them, secure them, and understand what’s happening underneath, so if you can recommend me a good learning path or a resource please share them in the comments.

Just tryin to say, if you’re into DevOps/DevSecOps or Go, drop any resources, books, courses, or advice you think are worth checking out. I’m all ears πŸ˜‚

Guys, my friend started a channel called Integrated Systems Lab where he shares content about engineering, technology, software, electronics, automation, and real-world projects.

If you're interested in learning how things work, building systems, or exploring new ideas, go ahead and give him a follow. Show some support! ❀️
