Guys, make sure you have private contributions enabled on GitHub. One of my friends randomly asked me why I wasn't active on GitHub. I was like bro what 😭 I literally work on different projects all the time.
Then he showed me my profile on his phone, turns out I had private contributions turned off this whole time. GitHub was showing like 1k contributions, but I actually had around 7k 😭😂
So yeah, go check your settings. You might be hiding a whole lot of contributions without even knowing it.

Stop wasting tokens with casual, ambiguous prompts!
Meet promptHelper — an open-source tool that transforms rough ideas into model-specific prompts tailored for Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and DeepSeek.
Why do you need this? Foundation models don't think the same way:
• Claude responds best to XML tags
• OpenAI models require explicit schema definitions
• DeepSeek needs rigorous chain-of-thought structure
• Token Saver strategy compresses prompts by 30–50% to cut API costs
What's inside? 10 AI Models supported
12 Dedicated Domains (Dev, Business, Data, Writing...)
Real-time token metrics & validation
Local prompt library with one-click copy & export
Would love to hear your thoughts and feedback!
Try it here:https://prompt-helper-sable.vercel.app/

One thing I realized this summer, I take Abrhot's internet (especially when I pull an all-nighter) for granted 😭

As it has truth in it most of it is a marketing bullshit it certainly level up the bar but the top engineers will definitely will be there to shape the overall software development

Yes, those two "good" engineers retained their job, but that is still a reduction in 10 - 15 jobs, and those holding these jobs weren't necessarily "bad/low quality engineers."
The competitive advantage here is that in the coming years, 80-90 percent of developers will be simply users (as Hussain said). They will no longer understand the codebases and eventually won't even read the code. So, only a small percentage of people left who actually care about the system and care enough to design it very well will be the ones who get crazy amounts of opportunities.
Don't get me wrong; today's AI models are really good. Any junior to mid-level developer can create platforms and systems with AI. But what happens if we need to change something after 6 months? The developer simply doesn't fully understand the code. The AI won't have enough context, it has to read the whole codebase, and when it fixes it, it will create whole different bugs. Scale this in big projects like Netflix and other large organizations, so who will develop those systems? AI?
Additionally, from an economic perspective, imagine how much energy will be needed to run all these advanced agentic workflows. It is unsustainable unless they find a reliable way to do that. So, just imagine every new prompt will cost more money than the previous one.
That's why I'm a little bit optimistic about it. We just have to be real engineers rather than vibe coders. And look, I'm not saying you can't get something done as a vibe coder, but when it comes to big projects and complex systems, it won't get us there.

My people ❤️
I just wanna wish you all a really good New Year. I hope this year brings us good opportunities, new experiences, and a lot of things to be proud of.
Hopefully we’ll accomplish more, build more stuff, get jobs, start our careers, and keep moving forward together. And for the GC students, this is definitely the start of a new chapter.
Let’s keep pushing, support each other, and help each other grow along the way. We’ve got a lot ahead of us. 🤝❤️
መልካም በዓል, my family! 🌼

One thing I’ll always be proud of
Back in high school, I started a small business called Maya Electronics. I repaired electronics, installed electricity and satellite dishes, and it became a really good side income for me.
When I was preparing for my entrance exam and getting ready to go to campus, I started training people because I knew I wouldn’t be around as much. Back then, there were a lot of gatekeepers. People made these skills seem difficult to learn, like you needed to know the right person to get into the work.
Over time, I trained around 5–6 people. They started making their own income, helping their families, and some eventually started their own services.
Maya Electronics is still running today. I have people working for me, and my close friend manages the business while I’m at university.
Today, one of their moms met me and told me how much her son’s life had changed for the better. She gave me a blessing that honestly meant so much to me.
Knowing that something I started as a kid actually helped people and their families… I’ll always be proud of that. ❤️🙏🏽

I almost lost everything this year.
Not “stressed about deadlines” losing everything.
My dad. My family. Everything I’ve been building.
There were nights I genuinely didn’t know if RAVN would survive the month.
But my cofounder and I kept building anyway. Through the doubt, uncertainty, and nights when nothing seemed to work.
Today, I’m incredibly grateful to share that RAVN has been accepted into Antler.
$400K in funding, backed by one of the world’s leading venture builders, alongside companies like Lovable, Airalo, Reebelo, and Tactiq.
To everyone who watched us build this from the beginning, thank you. This wasn’t luck or a guarantee. We kept building long before there was anything to celebrate.
Most importantly, I’m grateful to God. He never left us.
We’ve come a long way.
We’re just getting started.
