Today I learned about something called a 51% attack in blockchain and it’s actually kinda interesting 😭

I used to think blockchain was just “if everyone agrees then it’s valid,” but the crazy part is if someone somehow controls more than 51% of the network’s mining/validation power, they could potentially manipulate recent transactions or even double spend.

They still can’t magically steal wallets or create coins from nowhere because cryptography still protects ownership, but they can mess with consensus if they control the majority of the network power.

What makes big blockchains like BTC hard to attack though is how insanely expensive it would be to control that much mining power. You’d need massive hardware, crazy electricity, and billions of dollars just to even try 😭 and if the attack actually worked, the value of the same crypto you spent all that money on could crash anyway 💀

That’s why decentralization is such a huge deal in crypto.

Out of nowhere, Antigravity just turned into this with their new update. It looks more like a terminal or a chat app now than a normal IDE like vs code used to. Which is fine, but the sad thing is I couldn't ssh into a remote server since it no longer has the remote ssh extension like VS Code😭
