We streamed the whole Demilich live show from Symbolic Open Air 2019, including 35 minutes of backstage action before and after the show.

With very questionable audio and video quality.

This and all future specialities and experiments are for our mailing list members only!

So join now at demili.ch/lovebeer !!!

The video clip we posted some days ago told you a beautiful story about altruistic devotion and overflowing love on a day of July. We streamed live _the whole_ Demilich show from Symbolic Open Air, plus a total of 35 minutes of backstage action before and after it, for our fantastic mailing list members only!

We saw a glimpse of glamor (a tent and multiple benches), lots of grass (in the ground, you wise-ass), huge (mostly physically) celebrities, weirdos (yours truly), failures in guitar pedal settings (HM-2 with a knob not turned to maximum, intentionally. WTF???), foamy beer, shaky camera action, etc.

The stream is now archived and will not be published. If you want to be part of experiments like this, join the list at demili.ch/lovebeer !

Thanks to Martin and the awesome Symbolic crew for the great night!

And just to make you even more jealous, we once gave free Hellfest shirts (the original, unmodified ones) to all our Telegram ( https://telegram.me/demilich ) subscribers! We might be pulling similar things there, too. Probably not if we get more than five members in it, though.

We also have a YouTube channel ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZ9mP9jqiIHyo20YxubUlxQ/ ) which doesn't have much there, yet, but we're looking forward to adding something soon. If we get 973 subscribers more (a bow to those 27 who have already subscribed) we will be able to stream easier with my mobile phone, which has even more appalling audio quality than the laptop microphone we used!

In other news, there is new merchandise at https://demilich.band/shop . Our gigantic European summer tour T-shirt (not in gigantic sizes) is now available online, and we also brought you the blue logo shirt. We have also restocked lots of the old designs! And the site works much, much quicker now. Much.

Oh, and Helsinki Death Fest is almost here! More about that tomorrow.

Next up: The wrap-up of Demilich's year 2018½, part 2/3

Yours,
Antti Boman, Semilich

(Hey, Antti, too much info in one post. This is what happens when you don't post often. People don't read just these novels of yours. It's like your emails with the booking agency, man.)

Helsinki (/ˈhɛlsɪŋki, hɛlˈsɪŋki/: The capital and most populous city of Finland. Centered around the famous Piritori.
Death: The permanent cessation of all biological functions that sustain a living organism. The thing we all eagerly wait for.
Fest: Danish/German/Norwegian/Swedish for party. Short for the English word "infestation".
Reserve: To arrange for something to be kept for you, for example, a seat on an aircraft or a table at a restaurant. Or a shirt. Or a vinyl album. Or your mother.
Merchandise: Goods that are offered for sale, especially in a store. This time in the context of the greatest web store on Earth.

Demilich will have a 60 minute'ish set on late Saturday night at Helsinki Death Fest, with a surprise guest taking part in one song! More about that around 60 seconds before the song starts!

There will also be the usual Demilich merchandise available for sale from Friday on, but if you want to make sure you'll get what you want, you can head at https://demilich.band/shop , add the things you want into the shopping cart, and choose "Local pickup in Helsinki (FI), August 23/24 2019". We will then use the lower festival pricing – for even the stuff that we won't sell there – and if you paid for it when checking out, we will refund the difference. We'll also contact you and arrange a meeting with Antti at the festival site. Do this before Thursday, 4 PM GMT! That's 19.00 Helsinki time, you less advanced time zone hobbyists.

And don't worry, the fest will sell our merch commission free, so the hard working people there won't be losing a dime. They will actually be able to spend the extra time for sipping alcoholic beverages and planning on world famous heists.

No time to blab, so straight to the point: Nice weather today! Autumn has already arrived, and it was damn rainy last few days. It really gets to my nerves and makes me unproductive. Yes, even more than usual. But now it's nice. I'd definitely want to live 5-6 months somewhere south, and then spend the hottest times of the year back in Finland... Was that a raven or a crow? Sometimes they fly past the window so quickly that it's hard to spot which one it was. My father had a crow as a friend back at the summer cottage. He even gave it a name. I'm not sure if it was the same crow all the time, but it was a good friend anyway. Friends are important. I'm a loner, but I still need those little things in my life, as long as they don't bother me constantly. Constantinoply. Constantinople. Did you know the city was named after Constantine The Great, who mustn't have been that great after all, as the city's called Istanbul these days. And these days, exactly on Saturday, Demilich will be playing there live for the first time. The show is almost sold out, and will most probably be before it starts, so get your tickets now, and start saving money for the beautiful merch we'll bring along. Uh, got distracted, where was I? ...Oh, again! That definitely was a crow! Maybe it was the exact friend of my father, looking for him now that he's not at the summer cottage anymore. The cottage is actually gone, too. Cottage cheese. I love cheese, but let me check where the cottage cheese has gotten its name. Just a second, I'll be right back!

Unfortunately Demilich will not be able to fetch the million dollar Nobel Peace Prize money in Oslo today, as we'll be playing at sold out Scandinavia Deathfest in Stockholm. Greta, you got lucky! Please don't worry, Albert, we'll come to your party the next year and grab what belongs to us. Just make sure it's double then.

This is Nomat Ibant from Demilich Press And Rehab Center, nice to meet you. Well, we're not really meeting anyone here, but you know what I mean. Antti is too busy preparing for this weekend's shows in the UK, so he didn't have time to spread his intelligence this time. He sent you a short but insightful message through us, though. Here it is:

"Come on guys."

We here at the Center consider that an invitation to Demilich's gigs, which are:

Today, Friday 14 February, Leeds: https://www.facebook.com/events/2348370751955555/

Tomorrow, Saturday 15 February, London: https://www.facebook.com/events/2484780484877433/

And yes, the band is coming to play three shows in Mexico between March 13 and 21. More about those when Antti's reha... busyness is over.

All the best to you, our most respected clients and followers.

DEMILICH WILL TOUR THE USA AGAIN ON MAY!

This is Nomat Ibant from Demilich Chakra Center, nice to see you again. Well, we're not seeing each other, it's just me seeing you. And your family. But that's not the point of this posting.

Demilich will tour the USA on May 2020. This time they will hit both coasts, and even touch – in a perfectly non-harassing way – a small and intimate part of Canada!

The official announcement was made yesterday, but it was an impossible day for the band itself to announce anything. First of all, Jarkko's homeopathologist and foreign language mantra teacher pointed out that Thursday and number 27 mean bad karma. You knew this, I'm sure. Also, Aki's reiki healer (orientation: opening horizons with speech) noted that Aki's sensitivity doesn't allow anything to be published unless he's prepared for it for 24 hours after the initial impression and the energy waves of the public. Lauri's (mostly secular) coffee enema operator / hair splitter opposed, for important reasons unknown. Above all, Antti was missing in present tense, and still is.

I personally don't believe anything of the above. Then again, I'm just a spokesperson. Do remember, though, that I saw a great, great danger in the alignment of The Moon and Venus.

Oh, and if you're worried, we are sure that the leader of the band will be found well before the tour! Yes, I'm talking about Guru Amskam, of course. He'll also be able to pull Antti back to this burpous reality, just like that.

Sincerely,
Mostly-Mr Nomat Ibant

––– NO EXTRA DATES COMING –––

A note to everyone asking for extra dates for the tours: Unfortunately this is all we had time for. Antti could tour months, and would love to, but he just can't get other guys to do more than this due to their responsibilities at home and work. So, no extra dates coming. We promise we will do our everything to get us tour the whole Northern America before we put Demilich to sleep.

––– EURO TOUR? OTHER SHOWS? –––

We are currently trying to arrange a two week tour in Europe in late autumn. More about that when things start clearing up. Also, we have some other shows already booked, but we cannot talk about them, yet. You'll hear about it when it's time, so don't worry.

––– NEW MATERIAL READY AND IN THE WORKS –––

Demilich has 2.1 new songs structurally done. We have to come up with lyrics, solos and some little things, but those are basically ready. Next, we will create 1.9 songs more, and then we're ready to record them all. So, you won't be getting a full-length, but it's not going to be an EP, either. Neither overly long songs filling the album length. Something possibly better. We'll tell you more when it's time, hopefully this year!

––– THE NESPITHE SHIRT COMPETITION AND OTHER MERCHANDISE –––

We had the Nespithe shirt competition running many years ago, but nothing happened after that. I already know the winner, and we're currently working on the designs, so please give us a short while more! There will also be a huge amount of new designs and products coming! The plan is to reveal all of this before Mexico, or then quickly after that.

––– THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER PARODY LOGO PATCH –––

The Black Dahlia Murder printed hilarious parody patches reminiscing the bands that they love, and Demilich got to be one of those. They are still available at https://www.nightshiftmerch.com/collections/black-friday-2019/products/the-black-dahlia-murder-logo-patch , so grab yours if you're a lover of both bands.

Antti wrote this on his personal blog: https://anttiboman.com/2020/03/a-custom-guitar-pedal-for-yours-truly/

Looking for: A guitar pedal maker for either a Demilich branded distortion pedal or a single handmade item.

I have fallen in love with my combination of Boss HM-2 and DS-2 blended together with Xotic X-Blender. It’s problematic, though, as I have to carry all that metal (as in material) around the world, re-assemble the pedal board, and hope it works when I hit the stage for 15 minute line checks. So, I would love to have this as one pedal.

Specs:
– A combined level knob for both distortions, or then separate.
– Boss HM-2 part with knobs from none to all. If none, all are on ten, of course!
– Boss DS-2 part with a distortion knob, possibly a tone one. Turbo mode can be always on.
– An adjustable signal blender, preferably with some tone knobs.
– One input, one output.

I don’t know about the legal things regarding cloning the parts, unless it’s created by Boss, but I know there are various imitations of HM-2 in the market, at least.

If you know an interested party that could create such a monster, even license it for mass production, I’d love to hear of it!

Hi, it’s Nomat Ibant from Demilich Corn Flour Center, nice to shake hands with you again! Figuratively, of course, in these times of coronavirus and you masturbating wildly and still not washing your hands properly.

Demilich will head tomorrow towards the west to play three gigs in Mexico. The dates are:
– Saturday, Mar 14: México aka Mexico City – Total Death over Mexico lll
– Friday, Mar 20: Cancún – w/ Necros Christos, etc.
– Saturday, Mar 21: Mérida– w/ Necros Christos, etc.

Yes, we have got the whole band together. Antti was found and seems to be okay, although he’s blabbing about losing history or future or something. We cannot comprehend him completely, but we did a test drive and he’s perfectly good for growling too pushy, playing the guitar mostly correctly, and throwing awful jokes in the middle of the songs.

The other guys feel fine and dandy, too, although they are damn hungry and thirsty due to the usual confinement between gigs. Gnawing the bars is bad for your teeth, boys!

Sincerely,
Nomat Ibant, divorced but hot

DEMILICH HAS TO CANCEL THE MEXICO TOUR

We, the members of Demilich, are unbelievably sorry to say that we have had to stay home and cancel the Mexico tour. We were supposed to leave yesterday, and woke up to the news that president trump had banned all airline travel from Europe.

We traveled by train all the way to Helsinki airport, just in case things would be sorted out. We found out we could have, possibly but not definitely, been able to get to Mexico, but unfortunately nobody could guarantee us any kind of return back home. The airline company has canceled all flights that fly through the USA, and they could not route us through any other location. The risk would have been on us only.

We are now living in the middle of a pandemic and people making political decisions based on bullying. We suspect the pandemic/decisions will get even worse until it all starts clearing out before summer, hopefully well before that. But that doesn't help this case.

Lo sentimos. We will try to make this up to you people some day soon.

Sincerely and very sad,
Antti Boman & Demilich
