Season 2 of HOPR 🟡 staking is coming to an end, and we’ve got some news for you about the future of our incentivized staking program! 📣

We will launch Staking Season 3 immediately after the end of Season 2 on April 26th. To ensure the longevity and sustainability of the staking program and the HOPR ecosystem, we’re making some changes to ensure the distribution profile is fairer and more in line with HOPR’s values.
Overall, we want to reward the smaller and more active holders who participate in testnets and other HOPR related campaigns. NFTs will still be the focus of our gamified staking program, with many more to earn in Season 3.
To achieve this balance the base APR will be reduced from 18.25% to 10%. To compensate for this change, three new NFTs will be available in the very first weeks of Season 3. More on that very soon. 👀
We’re also going to reduce the cap on boostable tokens from 1 million to 150,000. This will affect just 12 accounts, but will reduce the cost of the staking program by over 1 million tokens.
We will also eliminate the APR boost from the HODLr NFTs, as we feel that was a very passive NFT which has more than amply rewarded holders. Again, we’ll be providing many more NFTs which focus on active community participation.
