A threat actor is advertising an alleged Ledger and Trezor theft toolkit designed to trick users into approving malicious crypto transactions.

The seller claims it supports multiple chains and custom recipient addresses, with a demo showing a 5 ETH transfer. Its authenticity has not been independently verified.

🚨 HOW $320M IN BITCOIN WAS DRAINED FROM LIQUID

The $320 million Liquid security incident has been traced to a bug in Elements, the software the network runs on.

The flaw reportedly allowed someone to create 4,000 fake L-BTC, which Liquid then accepted as legitimate and exchanged for 3,996 real BTC. The bridge system itself was not compromised.

🚨 JEFFREY EPSTEIN’S DMV RECORD LEAKED

ShinyHunters, a major data-theft and extortion group, claims it compromised Florida’s Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles and is threatening to leak stolen data unless the agency makes contact by September 11.

As proof of its alleged access, the group published a Florida DMV record belonging to Jeffrey Epstein containing his photo, licence information and vehicle records.

🚨 THOUSANDS OF TELEGRAM BOT WALLETS DRAINED

More than 3,825 wallets linked to Telegram crypto bot @lootbot_lootbot have been drained across nine blockchains, with around $620,000 stolen so far.

Nearly 2,000 of those wallets were drained on multiple chains, suggesting the attacker has access to their private keys. The exact source of the compromise remains unknown.

🚨 “CRYPTO GODFATHER” GETS 15 YEARS OVER KIDNAPPING LINKED TO $245M BITCOIN HEIST

Self-styled crypto “Godfather” Adam Iza has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for helping organise the kidnapping of the parents of Veer Chetal, one of the men behind the $245 million Bitcoin theft involving Malone Lam.

The couple were rammed in their Lamborghini, dragged into a van, bound with duct tape and assaulted as the kidnappers tried to get access to some of the stolen Bitcoin. Iza helped coordinate and fund the operation through encrypted communications.

🚨 HACKER MINTS 368.9 BILLION SYNTHETIC BTC TOKENS

Cross-chain protocol Symbiosis was exploited after eight bridge transactions created roughly 368.9 billion syBTC, a synthetic Bitcoin token, across Ethereum and BNB Chain.

The attacker then dumped the Ethereum-side tokens and cashed out about $582,000, while roughly 184.5 billion syBTC still remains on BNB Chain.

🚨 HACKER LOSES $7.8M TO A BOT MID-EXPLOIT

A hacker found a flaw that could let them drain around $7.8 million from a large crypto holder’s wallet.

Before the attack could go through, an automated MEV bot called “Yoink” spotted the pending transaction, copied the exploit and got its own transaction processed first, taking the $7.8 million instead.

🚨 REVOLUT HACKERS DEMAND $3M RANSOM

Hackers are demanding $3 million within 24 hours after obtaining sensitive data on around 680 Revolut customers allegedly targeted for their large crypto holdings, threatening to sell the data if Revolut refuses to pay.

🚨 CARDANO YOUTUBE HIJACKED TO PUSH CRYPTO SCAM

The developer behind Cardano says its official YouTube channel was hijacked and used to livestream a fake video of Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson promoting a crypto giveaway.

The stream promised viewers it would “double your wealth” and displayed a QR code directing them to send funds.

🚨 16 ARRESTED IN FAKE FBI EXTORTION SCAM

Police busted a call centre accused of targeting Americans by posing as tech support, remotely accessing their computers and falsely claiming they contained evidence of serious crimes.

Scammers then posed as FBI and US Treasury officials, threatened victims with arrest and demanded crypto, gift cards or bank transfers.

🚨 FAMILY TIED UP FOR 3 HOURS IN €40K CRYPTO HOME INVASION
