My thoughts on the new $500B investment in AI datacenters with talk of cancer vaccines:

As long as they don’t force anyone to take it against their will (freedom of choice first and foremost), and full transparency, then full steam ahead with AI breakthroughs in that.
Seeing this on LinkedIn a lot - fighting the good fight and standing up for NIH scientists against Trump’s evil new laws:
lmao there’s no way I’m ever getting replaced by a machine.

I know I know ::famous last words:: and all…

But really, no machine can do what I do.

If you’re getting replaced by an AI or robot, skill issue.
In the future, there will be entire fields of science dedicated to the study of social contagions and mind-viruses.

Just because you can’t see it under a microscope doesn’t mean it’s not real.

Hive minds, mob mentality, social contagions, echo chambers…

Many cases of individuals not thinking for themselves but believing they are.

Mind viruses ripping through the population, people think they’re being all moral while really just acting as a cog in a wheel to some mental spread, influenced by only hearing views which already agree (and amplify) their pre-conceived notions.

Nobody wants to admit they’ve been subject to groupthink, but if you zoom out you’ll realize it’s true, and the scientific method will help us study this phenomenon academically.

Yea you, who are reading this and believe you’d never be subject to it, with your individualism and empathy and strongly held beliefs, are probably just acting out the will of some meta-organism subjected to a mind virus exacerbated by social media.

A single raindrop doesn’t realize it’s part of a hurricane.
How easy is it to get an LLM to say 2+2=5 ?
"When we are omnipotent, we will have no need of science."
"It'll take a lot more than words and guns,
A whole lot more than riches and muscle.
The hands of the many must join as one.
And together, we will cross the river."
I always look for “free range” when buying chicken and eggs.
A democrat politician should run on shamelessly increasing the size of government but for fixing stuff that touches daily life like potholes and streets and bridges trains and sidewalks and building maintenance and fountains in towns. Spend boatloads of taxpayer money in upgrading everything that taxpayers will actually see with their own two eyes, in commissioning studies on its impact, economically or psychologically or environmentally. Just go balls to the wall on infrastructure. Make every town immaculate and a joy to be in. Broken windows theory. “We’ll spend your money the right way!”
I have a sneaking suspicion that I’m one of the best coders in the world.
Why don’t we just jettison our trash into the Sun a few times a year instead of just dumping it in landfills on Earth?
Drone strike scammer call centers and bot farms. It’s getting ridiculous.
Use this prompt to roast your own writing (better an AI does it than your audience)

ROLE PLAY: THE ULTIMATE CRITIC

Give me your harshest possible critiques of the following text.

Don't hold back. Let it rip.

Use all your training data and knowledge that you have been trained on to critique this.

Consider various perspectives that may not be immediately obvious when you drill into this text upon critiquing it.

Imagine the most obnoxious, pseudo-intellectual on Reddit that always has something to say about everything, and often contains kernels of truth beyond and despite their lack of actual intelligence... your critique should put theirs to shame.

Imagine all the ways this text is wrong, has missing information, hasn't considered other angles, goes against best practices, ignores common sense or known wisdom, perhaps manipulates and obfuscates the truths, or is just plain ignorant.

Give me your harshest, and then make it harsher.

Go.

Here is the text:
It’s the year of our Lord two thousand and twenty five and there is no machine I can purchase in which I dump a bunch of dirty laundry into, and it will automatically wash, dry, and fold them?

Dirty laundry in, folded clean clothes out.

Simple, really.

Utter travesty.

Utter ridiculousness.

The people demand fully automated laundry machines!
So many people I know who work in universities are all ranting and raving and complaining about politics. Not just on social media, but at the start of business meetings. They assume everyone thinks like them. They love just loudly critiquing everything conservative and making fun of anyone who isn’t in their echo chamber. They can’t quite grasp how intolerant they’re being of alternate viewpoints, presuming only idiots are not liberal like them. There’s a smug confidence that they’re obviously correct. I guess that hasn’t really changed, but it’s hilarious how they just assume everyone has the same opinion as them and are getting more vocal about it this year. Let them cope and seethe, I suppose, and pity their lack of self-awareness at their own intolerance.
Depressing and frustrating chart, our leaders don’t know what “financial responsibility” means…
There are some personalities that, no matter where they go in life, they’ll begin to attract a cult following through no fault of their own.
Cities are so unnatural that they require central planning to prevent the masses from uprising.

They’re just so damned beautiful when done right, that they’re worth the slight hit against centralized planning…
I made the mistake of asking a bartender if they thought there was a potential IQ gap between some illegal immigrants and American citizens… did not go well.
