The Problem: The Gemini API now rejects all requests from unrestricted Standard API keys to prevent accidental public leaks.
The Fix: Go to your GCP Credentials Page, click your API key, scroll to API Restrictions, select Restrict Key, check the box for the specific API you are using, and click Save. Alternatively, migrate to the newer Auth Keys.
