US index of consumer sentiment is at its lowest since 2011.
Personal savings rate has taken a sharp dive after a 20 year high during Covid and lockdowns.
Poor sentiment could be from people feeling the โreturn to normalโ savings rate as a sharp decline. Or it could mean they are starting to worry about the future amid gas prices hikes among other cost of living essentials rising.

Thinking about how in middle school (which was bad enough) they pulled me out of regular classes for half a day and stuck me into this small dark room with no windows with 12 other kids and this teacher who was like a very overweight Nahtzee, if you will.
She was notoriously strict, would freak out if you were not on time, would make you do the same thing over and over again for hours and did all sorts of weird experimental learning things like literally at one point turned off all the lights for a sensory deprivation type exercise for hours.
We couldnโt even leave for lunch. Just stuck in this weird closet all day with no light.
Anyway, this was quite some time ago. I looked up the other kids I was in there with on Facebookโฆ they are all doctors and lawyers now. True story. Really bizarre.

Also, the room was entirely sterile. Nothing on the walls at all. No decorations. No teacher name on the door. No room number.
Just plain wood tables and chairs and that was it in the whole place.

No idea what the deal was with that. I remember my parents had to sign some papers for it โ probably a liability release lmao
Whatever those experiments were about, it made the bar exam and medical boards look easy in comparison.
