Assalamu Alaikum everyone ๐Ÿฉท

Many of you know WhatSurah from the website and the bot. For a while now we've been working on something we wanted for ourselves: a proper app. Android first.

It has the Qur'an, a full hadith library, the finder you already know, and a lot more. We kept it clean and minimal, the way an app like this should be. No account and the Qur'an and hadith work without internet.

Before we release it, we need a few of you to test it. ๐Ÿ“ฉ Send the Gmail you use for the Play Store through the link below, and we'll send you the link to install it.

Then just use it the way you'd use it anyway, and tell us whatever you find. A bug, something that feels off, an idea you have. There's Report in the app's Settings, or ๐Ÿ“žwrite to us right here. Nothing is too small.

This isn't a business. Nobody earns from it and nobody wants to. It's a side project beside our work, for the sake of Allah, and we hope it's something people actually use. Test it with us, and let's make it better for the ummah.

Jazakum Allahu khairan ๐Ÿค

๐Ÿ“ฑ Get the app early & test it.

They Don't Care About Palestine or Muslims

For two years, Israel was bombing Gaza. Hundreds of thousands of people were killed.

And the Iranian regime did not flinch. Apart from giving statements, just empty statements, they did nothing.

But as soon as they get attacked themselves, they send rockets and say "we are fighting for Palestine."

They will ask, where are the Sunnis? Where are the Sunni governments? Where are the Sunni armies?

I ask the same question too. But don't think Iran is the one who's actually concerned about Palestinians. They are not.

And let me tell you something, they have killed more Muslims than Israel could ever kill.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท Iranโ€™s Role in Syria

Iran wasnโ€™t just a bystander in Syria. It provided military, financial, and logistical support to Bashar al-Assadโ€™s regime, including IRGC/Quds Force personnel and allied militias.

This support helped Assadโ€™s government stay in power during a war marked by widespread violence against civilians.

The reality behind the propaganda is often very different from the image Iran tries to present.

Before making random comments, understand what the post is actually about.

The video was about Saudi showing its strength and its ability to protect its territory, Makkah and the pilgrims.

And no, caring about the safety of Makkah and the Haram does NOT mean โ€œidolising the Clock Tower.โ€ ๐Ÿ˜‚

The Haram isn't just the Kaaba or one building either. It is a wider sacred area around Makkah with defined boundaries, something scholars discussed centuries ago.

You can criticize Saudi Arabia or its government if you want. But turning a post about security and the protection of the holy sites into โ€œthey worship the Clock Towerโ€ is just nonsense.

Please understand the basic point before repeating TikTok and Reel propaganda.

A place for open discussions, Q&A, and learning Islam upon the Quran and authentic Sunnah, following the understanding of the Salaf.

As Shaykh Rabฤซสฟ ibn Hฤdฤซ al-Madkhalฤซ said:
โ€œThe Salafi Call starts with the call for people to be upon guidance and to save people from the darknesses of shirk, bidสฟah and al-khurฤfฤt.โ€

โ” What is the ruling on carrying a bag on the shoulder, for men and women?

๐Ÿ’ฌ It is permissible for men. It is not permissible for women, because carrying it this way makes the shoulder visible. The strap presses against the abaya and causes the shoulder to show, which is not allowed.

๐Ÿ™ How to say "thank you" in Islam

JazakAllah Khair (to a male)
JazakiAllah Khair (to a female)
JazakumAllah Khair (to a group)

Meaning: "May Allah reward you with good."

It's more than a thank you, it's a dua for the person, asking Allah to reward them instead of just praising them yourself.

How to reply when someone says it to you:
Wa Iyyak (to a male)
Wa Iyyaki (to a female)
Wa Iyyakum (to a group)
Meaning: "And you too."

Small phrase, but a beautiful sunnah to bring into daily conversation.

Great endeavours are proportionate to the resolve of those who undertake them,
And noble deeds are proportionate to the nobility of those who perform them.

Even their lesser deeds appear great in the eyes of the small-minded,
While the greatest deeds appear small in the eyes of the truly great.

Hasan Al-Basri ุฑุญู…ู‡ ุงู„ู„ู‡ said:

"Evaluate people by their actions, and leave aside their words. For Allah has not left a statement except that He has appointed for it an indication from an action that either confirms it or proves it false.

So when you hear a good statement, take your time regarding its speaker. If his statement and his action agree, then excellent indeed, and a delight to the eye! So take him as your brother, love him, and befriend him.

But if his statement and his action contradict one another, then what is there about him that could confuse you, or what is there about him that could be hidden from you? Beware of him, and beware of him! Let him not deceive you as he deceived the son of Adam.

Indeed, you have a statement and an action; your action has greater claim upon you than your statement.

And you have an inward reality and an outward appearance; your inward reality has greater claim upon you than your outward appearance.

And you have an immediate matter and an ultimate outcome; your ultimate outcome has greater claim upon you than your immediate matter."

A young man came to the Prophet (sallAllahu 'alayhi wa sallam) and said, "O Messenger of Allah, give me permission to commit zina." The people turned to rebuke him, saying "Quiet, quiet!" But the Prophet told him to come close and sit down.

He asked, "Would you like that for your mother?" The young man said, "No, by Allah, may I be sacrificed for you." The Prophet said, "Neither would people like it for their mothers." He asked the same about his daughter, his sister, and his aunts, each time the young man said no, and each time the Prophet said people wouldn't like it for theirs either.

Then the Prophet placed his hand on him and said, "O Allah, forgive his sins, purify his heart, and guard his chastity." After that, the young man never again inclined to anything sinful.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท Is It Permissible to Declare All the Shia as Disbelievers?

We say that whoever commits a nullifier from the nullifiers of Islam is a disbeliever, whether from the Shia or others. Whoever commits one nullifier from the nullifiers of Islam โ€” even if it is just one โ€” becomes a disbeliever; meaning, if one nullifier makes a person a disbeliever, then what about the one who commits many nullifiers?
