A lot of guys jokingly call their wife "mom" or use pet names like "auntie." Here's what the scholars actually said about it.
If he says to his wife, 'O my mother,' 'O my maternal aunt,' or 'O my paternal aunt,' then there is nothing upon him. This is from foolish speech.
โ Imam Mฤlik, Mudawwanah
If a man says to his wife, 'You are to me, or with me, like my mother,' or 'You are like my mother,' or 'You are the equal of my mother,' and he intended honor and respect, then there is no แบihฤr. If he intended แบihฤr, then it is แบihฤr. And if he says, 'I had no intention [of แบihฤr],' then it is not แบihฤr.

This is a real example. Donโt fall for shia propaganda or blindly support people without knowing what they actually promote.
If you come across accounts like Danielโs, block or report them if appropriate, and warn your friends, brothers, and sisters too.
May Allah make it easy for us to recognize the truth, stay away from falsehood, and protect ourselves from such propaganda.

Many of you know WhatSurah from the website and the bot. For a while now we've been working on something we wanted for ourselves: a proper app. Android first.
It has the Qur'an, a full hadith library, the finder you already know, and a lot more. We kept it clean and minimal, the way an app like this should be. No account and the Qur'an and hadith work without internet.
Before we release it, we need a few of you to test it.๐ฉ Send the Gmail you use for the Play Store through the link below, and we'll send you the link to install it.
Then just use it the way you'd use it anyway, and tell us whatever you find. A bug, something that feels off, an idea you have. There's Report in the app's Settings, or๐ write to us right here. Nothing is too small.

They Don't Care About Palestine or Muslims
For two years, Israel was bombing Gaza. Hundreds of thousands of people were killed.
And the Iranian regime did not flinch. Apart from giving statements, just empty statements, they did nothing.
But as soon as they get attacked themselves, they send rockets and say "we are fighting for Palestine."
They will ask, where are the Sunnis? Where are the Sunni governments? Where are the Sunni armies?
I ask the same question too. But don't think Iran is the one who's actually concerned about Palestinians. They are not.
And let me tell you something, they have killed more Muslims than Israel could ever kill.

And no, caring about the safety of Makkah and the Haram does NOT mean โidolising the Clock Tower.โ๐
The Haram isn't just the Kaaba or one building either. It is a wider sacred area around Makkah with defined boundaries, something scholars discussed centuries ago.
You can criticize Saudi Arabia or its government if you want. But turning a post about security and the protection of the holy sites into โthey worship the Clock Towerโ is just nonsense.
Please understand the basic point before repeating TikTok and Reel propaganda.
